this game is pretty fun...considering u can get it used for VERY cheap for consoles..it's worth a buy...multiplayer is totally gone but the campaign is pretty fun..i don't know if you can play multiplayer by inviting players to games since none of my friends have it...but if anyone on PS3 wants to play multiplayer co-op than send me a PM on youtube with your gamertag
@joshlongley i am far from a cod whore i hate cod im more of a battlefield person and i loved fallout 3 but like the other fallout and oblivion's it gets boring because you complete and unlock every thing and there is not much of a challenge when ur a high level
@FatTallibanMan thats why you dont put your difficulty so low and also once you get so high level you know its better than cod or any other fps game just because you may not know it but you just spent well over 300 hours of gameplay and after all that even if it is to easy for you the game deserves a break and on the other hand cod takes 5 hours to complete and then you just play multiplayer for a years until the next one and the multiplayer is the same thing as cod 4

Bought this game, played it for a while then realised it just wasn't quite what i was after, don't get me wrong, it's a good game but it's a bit too robotic if you know what i mean.

Hahahahaha. People that say any major shooer is realisic (Call of Duty, Battlefield) have obviously never played Flashpoint. It was refreshing to consantly have o adjust for bulle drop, ake forever to go anywhere and actualy have to bandage yourself or you would bleed out. Difficult in some spots, but that only adds to the quality of his game.
according to many forums ive read no, only like 3-4 servers. part of the reason why i passed this up even for $3 during the steam sale yesterday. instead investing my $ into arma2 combined ops for $12 on amazon

The biggest reason is because enemies don't run up 10 feet in front of you to knife you holding an AK-47. You shoot at each other from as far away as possible like these games. ARMA 2 is THE most realistic war simulation out today.
@BigMete0r IMO, Operation Flashpoint is more realistic but also more slow-paced. Arma 2 is designed to have that realism to it, but more action and close-quarters combat then this game... so they had to sacrifice some of the realism.

REAL WAR is like that ARMA game and this Operation Flashpoint game. Not COD, Medal of honor, or Battlefield 2. That is not REAL war. You want a kid game, play those. They are exciting and fun. Real war is ARMA and this one.

But THIS game and ARMA 2 are the most realistic war games to date. I've been to Kosovo FOR REAL in the Navy and fought. I know real war. These games are IT. Chaotic. Fearful. Confusing. Can't NEVER SEE THE ENEMY....REAL WAR.
@navyman4 I agree gameplay is more important than graphics, but only the console versions are pixelated. This game was tough but probably the most fun to beat. Especially when you are humping half the time and getting shot at from who knows where. Hardcore mode in this game is the best, and of course with 3 other people online in your squad (that actually understand the game and the tactics used)
I've never played it online but I played it on my x-box and its a pretty badass game you have to actully be careful and think out your battle plan you cant just run and gun or you will more then likely die
I like COD, B bad company kill zone etc... they are good game but the only think you do is follow a guy that is gaving you orders and you kill people that is the only thing you do but i like more the Action strategic games because you comand your squad you kill people i hope inred river they do much more intensive the gameplay and use the technology of warfare that is using right now to help you in the misions and when one of you guys is down but he is not dead you call support medics

@BigMete0r ... I knew I should have caviated my statement. LOL. Because you are correct, ARMA 2 is the most realistic to real combat game out. This one is number two. The biggest reason is because enemies don't run up 10 feet in front of you to knife you holding an AK-47. You shoot at each other from as far away as possible like these games. ARMA 2 is THE most realistic war simulation out today.

@BigMete0r IMO, Operation Flashpoint is more realistic but also more slow-paced. Arma 2 is designed to have that realism to it, but more action and close-quarters combat then this game... so they had to sacrifice some of the realism.

@AsianMOV ......Okay, I've checked out BATTLEFIELD 2. Sorry guy. That game is another "Run and Gun" kiddie game. Not realistic. Not only is it a "kiddie run and gun" game, the graphics aren't even as good as Call of Duty, and call of duty is another Run and Gun game.
REAL WAR is like that ARMA game and this Operation Flashpoint game. Not COD, Medal of honor, or Battlefield 2. That is not REAL war. You want a kid game, play those. They are exciting and fun. Real war is ARMA and this one.

@AsianMOV ...In real war, there is gunfire and explosions and you HARDLY ever know if it's coming from your team or the enemy because everything is FAR AWAY. Not like Battlefield 2 or COD where enemies run 10 feet in front of you and start shooting. That's not how it goes.

@navyman4 ....I have to correct myself. ARMA 2 is more "realistic" in terms of Real WAR experience. But if you combine graphics with real war elements this is more realistic.
You can have a realistic looking game where soldiers wear jetpacks....just because it "LOOKS real" doesn't mean it's more like actual war. Know what I mean? COD is fake like that. This and ARMA 2 are the real deal.

Kids like COD and MOH because it has action. Sheesh, you wouldn't run up to a platoon of AK-47 infantry just to respawn. You stand off pretty far to shoot. That's why this game and ARMA 2 are good. ARMA 2 has worse graphics, but that's the CLOSEST to actually firing a weapon at someone as you can get. I haven't even PLAYED ARMA 2!

@AroundSun ...I've checked it out. The out dated graphics are hard to get around. It may be strategically realistc. However, the heavy pixelation is bad. But who am I to talk, I play a game called "blackhawk down" Typhoon rising Escalation everyday and those are worse :)
But THIS game and ARMA 2 are the most realistic war games to date. I've been to Kosovo FOR REAL in the Navy and fought. I know real war. These games are IT. Chaotic. Fearful. Confusing. Can't NEVER SEE THE ENEMY....REAL WAR.

@navyman4 I agree gameplay is more important than graphics, but only the console versions are pixelated. This game was tough but probably the most fun to beat. Especially when you are humping half the time and getting shot at from who knows where. Hardcore mode in this game is the best, and of course with 3 other people online in your squad (that actually understand the game and the tactics used)

I've never played it online but I played it on my x-box and its a pretty badass game you have to actully be careful and think out your battle plan you cant just run and gun or you will more then likely die

I like COD, B bad company kill zone etc... they are good game but the only think you do is follow a guy that is gaving you orders and you kill people that is the only thing you do but i like more the Action strategic games because you comand your squad you kill people i hope inred river they do much more intensive the gameplay and use the technology of warfare that is using right now to help you in the misions and when one of you guys is down but he is not dead you call support medics
