  • wow...takes me back to the happy days...when life ws just about comin home from school n playin games...epic games such as this!!!...sigh...miss those days so bad :((

  • 2:03 That chariot is going to crah into the statue

  • I Never Wanna Be A Pharoh

  • THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE PHAROAH AND THAT IS AKHENATEN!!!!

  • anybody else just randomly wrote in pharaoh and got this?... no?... just me?..............ok

  • Comment removed

  • and very likely contributed some pharaonic iconography; such as the white crown and serekh, later to be used by the famous Egyptian pharaohs

  • Wikipedia reading about Prehistory Nubia it Said that the Naqadan Culture in upper Egypt very similar to the Qustul culture in Nubia ethnically and culturally Around 3300 BC, there is evidence of a unified kingdom substantial interactions both cultural and genetic) with the culture of Naqadan Upper Egypt and may have even contributed to the unification of the Nile valley.....

  • Is it possible to get this game for Windows 7?

  • WHY DO THEY LOOK ARAB WHEN ALL THE STATUES IN EGYPT/KEMET ARE BLACK AND HAVE BLACK FEATURES? ENOUGH WITH THE THEFT OF ANOTHER'S CULTURE PLEASE AND LEARN ABOUT YOUR OWN BLOODY HISTORY. YOU ARE NOT BLACK AND YOU NEVER WILL BE. FOR THOSE WHO TEACH FALSE HISTORY, YOU WILL SOON HAVE GOD TO FACE....GOOD LUCK!

  • @latin1988AC the ancient egyptian statues don't have black features, because the ancient egyptians who ruled Egypt from roughly 3000 BC to 1150 were definitively not Negroid.

Their tomb paintings show it, their art shows it, and their written word shows it. To top it all off, their language is most traced to Berber and Semitic families of language, not Bantu, which would have made them "African."

But don't let REAL facts stop your fantasies. P.S. there are plenty of REAL great African empires

  • @beepandbop How do you feel when you impose falseness? Do you feel good within yourself to know that? Arabs descend from Indians and migrated back to Africa after some time. THEY WERE MUSLIMS WITH MUSLIM NAMES LIKE MOHAMMED, AHMED AND SO FORTH. Tutincamun doesnt sound muslim doesn it? Nefrititi, Asheeba, Sheeba,Tutentkaman all these names are BLACK...they are AFRICAN names not muslim. Two, explain the great Sphinx! Explain! If not, please dont speak of what you dont know...

  • @latin1988AC I feel great, because I am spreading the truth and stomping on dumbasses like yourself.

    A) I never said the Ancient Egyptians were Muslims, or even Arabs

    B) You're quite correct, Tutankhamen isn't an Arab or Muslim name

    C) The sphinx's features are so eroded with time + the fact that the sphinx was desecrated by Arabs in the 7th century, you can't claim the sphinx's face as indicative of any race. However, the Egyptian features are portrayed in Old Kingdom to New Kingdom sculpture

  • @beepandbop Most White, Arab and Black scientist are adament that Benin, Greece, Eygpt, Timbuktu and other Kingdoms and Empires were Black or had a population of Blacks within. We got along fine before slavery. BTW, I meant no disrespect to Arabic people. I love every race because we all have our indiviual beauty.

  • @latin1988AC I'd be curious to see which "White, Arab, and Black scientists" say that, considering the Director of Archaeology at Cairo, Dr. Hawass, has recently made some anti-African statements.

He did also say "Tutankhamun was not black, and the portrayal of ancient Egyptian civilization as black has no element of truth to it"...Ancient Egyptians are NOT Arabs and are NOT Africans despite the fact that Egypt is in Africa."

And he's the head of Egypt's Supreme Council of Antiquities.

  • @beepandbop I am happy that you mentioned that mans name. He is false. Even my history teacher from school said so. He has covered up many truths and is someone not to be trusted. Even celebs from many ethnicities know the identity of Ancient Egyptians and recognise the migration of other races but I will agree to disagree. I respect your views and this topic is something I will look deeper into.

  • @latin1988AC and those features are decidedly NOT Bantu. If you are genuinely interested in the TRUTH or learning anything, a good place to start will be a Wikipedia search of Khafre.

Finally, look at the Language itself. It is related most strongly to the families of Semitic languages of North Africa (Berber) and the Levant.

  • @beepandbop I shall do more research on the subject because believe you me, I find it the most inertesting and mind bogling topic. I still believe that they were black (respectfully) because the evidence I have seen via the internet, books and with my own eyes in museums and going to Egypt with my gran leans towards that side but I will look more into it.

  • @latin1988AC You're a disgusting, loathsome nigger. You have no right to live.

  • @EnLugal If yu look carefully, you will see I am Latino...mixed black indian and white latin. 2. Instead of racially abusing the black race, why not bring up facts to prove people wrong? 3. White, Arab and black scientist are adament that Benin, Greece, Eygpt, Timbuktu and other Kingdoms and Empires were Black or had a population of Blacks within. We got along fine before slavery. BTW, I meant no disrespect to Arabic people. I love every race because we all have our indiviual beauty.

  • @latin1988AC I refuse to argue with someone that dumb. Goodbye.

  • "He was Egypt, just as I am Egypt, and as you will be Egypt."

I think this solidifies the legend this game is.

  • This game is so much longer than Caesar III. I still ave the d, though it doesn't work anymore.. too damn bad.

  • Defenately in my top 3 games of all time!

  • Romans are cooler

  • @Tardjei939 romans is a much younger civilization...

  • In the name of the great Anubis, that was awesome!

  • I miss this so hard! The intro graphics were like, top, cutting edge 10 yrs ago!!!LOL Miss it!

  • So cool I whant this game!!! I love egypt was a great civilization!!

  • what system was this for???

  • @Jrabit207 pc

  • oh, how i wish that someone (Sierra, as they seem to be the only ones who know how to make this genre) does a remake of this game.

  • thumbs up if you think there should be a second one

  • @matthewlewis01 there is a second one retard.

  • This is THE game own!!!!

  • Wrapped in swaddling clothes. Who even talks like that?

  • @melnakpo

    well... the Pharaoh

  • We need to bring these type of civilizations back. Not fatass eating warmonging pigs and taliban.

  • @SniperViper1000 Like Intellectually inept Americans, Pseudofascist Israel and Nuke-hunkering Iran...

  • face it catholic religion was created by jesus

cristianity aka protestant was made by king henry the vIII

  • @IAML3G

    Are you insane?

All sects of Christianity were, in some shape or form, shaped on the teachings of Jesus. Jesus himself did not found any of these sects. He just inspired them.

  • @IAML3G No Henry the Eighth made the Church of England after he was excommunicated... in which he forced everyone in England to live as a member of his church....Protestants were pilgrims who fled the dictatorship of henry and fled to America.

  • Fantastic game, epic city builder.

  • @qazplm1029384756 zeus is also a epic city builder

  • El mejor juego de toda mi vida! :)

  • The Soundtrack made me fell as i saw a history Movie

  • Wow, the intro cinematic was even better than I remembered it to be. I might just reinstall this game.

  • Is the Pharaoh Ramsese II?

This is the best City-builder in history.

  • Rameses II was a pharaoh, if that's what you mean. But if you mean the pharaoh in the cinematic, it is unlikely, since Ramses ruled for 67 years and by the time he stepped down from throne most of his sons had already died.

  • Didn't he lived up to be 80?

And I know but on the Ramses II Missions, it shows a pic of that pharaoh at the begining.

  • Yeah, he lived to 80 something because he ascended to the throne at 20 something I think.

I haven't finished Cleo yet, but if what you say is true, then I guess it pretty much confirms that you are right.

  • Ah no problems. Your still smart.

  • 27 according to Wikipedia... They called him "The Son of Ra" because all Pharaohs died around 35-39. Somehow, someway, he probably had advance healthcare OR he COULD be from the future... Some speculate that Ramses is infact from the future living in the past. Soon enough, he became Pharaoh. It could be possible.

  • not completely true. Pepi II of the Old Kingdom ruled for 94 years, the longest of any monarch ever existed.

  • @Sereniama wtf are you talking about? im not bashing, just wondering.

  • The Last Pharaoh and the Strongest Pharaoh Was RAMSIS 2 but the Prophet of allah MOSES Finish his Age and began a New age with a new Religion

  • I know that..... I was just asking about the pic at 0:05..

  • ramses the second was not the last pharaoh. I don't know where you got your sources. However he was a very strong pharaoh. Moses did not finish ramses' age because moses hadn't even been born yet when ramses was around. Islam only began in the 700s, centuries after the egyptian empire ceased to exist.

  • I know. The Last Pharaoh was Cleopatra VII.

  • Moses was around WAAAAAAAAAAAY before Islam. after Moses came Jesus, and after Jesus came Muhammed, and THAT'S when Islam started....so yeah....big gap between them...

  • uhh....thanks for restating what I said. Why not tell the person who thinks that this game is related to Islam rather than me?

  • sorry man. was a spur of the moment response. anyway, read his post and i'll say this. in a way, he's right. BUT. this is, from a Muslim's point of view, a fact. all the prophets were sent by THE one god, Allah. Jesus, Moses, Muhammed, over 400,000 others. Christians believe in God and Jesus. Jews believe in Jehovah, Muslims believe in Allah and the connection between the former 2 faiths and itself. i think that's what he meant...

  • Jews don't call it Jehovah (and orthodox jews are forbdden from writing his name), and it's prounounced more like "Yahweh". Jehovah is (I believe) and Americanized way of spelling it. And God, Allah, and Yahweh are all the same God.

Back to the main point. This game, and Ancient Egyptian History, has nothing, absolutely nothing, to do with Monotheism and the three semetic religions.

  • which is a fact i never argued against. i only said he was right about the fact God, Jehweh and Allah are one and the same. as for it's connection to the game, i am fairly sure it isn't involved...sadly i haven't played it personally...maybe i'll look for it...

  • The last level of this game is Actium (Anthony and Cleopatra vs Octavian aka Augustus), which takes place decades before the birth of Christ. Thus, this game has nothing to do with Christianity nor Islam. I think that guy was just a troll and you should probably ignore him.

  • It,s Good to believe with the three prophets ( MOSES , JESUS and MOUHAMMED ) but i tell u that the Quran talk about things that happened in the Past before even Adams and Eve and talk about things that will Happen in the Future and things that happens now in our time .. becouse all of this words are from the GOD ( ALLAH ) .. Thanks

  • whattt !! Moses had not even been born yet .. NOO Moses was the Prophet for this pharaoh RAMESIS 2 THE SON OF SETI and allah ( god ) send this prophet to make the piece in the land of Egypt becouse the pharaoh Dominated in Egypt and dealing with the Hebrew or the children of Israel cruelly at the Pharaonic period of slavery .

  • loved this game! especially the epic soundtrack!

  • I try to find the intro in german but I can't find it :(

I must say, in english it sounds not that good to me...my favourite part "his face is my face and your face, his strength our strength and his blood runs in my vains" isn't spoken that expressive than in german...

I loved this game, though...I played it when I was in the last grade of the elementary school :)

  • it is like what they say slavery gets shit done

  • so bad but so damn true

  • actually most of the labor in egypt was done by citizens, who believed by getting their pharaoh a better place in the afterlife they would also get a better place. Slaves were only used when they didn't like the people of conquered nations, and were only used periodically throughout history, most of the time it was citizens.

  • The whole Egypt Built by the Slaves .. Poor People .. the Pharaoh even the ruler and the architect and who make the plane of every thing

  • uuummmm... what? First off most of the building was done by peasants, not slaves, they only used slaves later on like with the jews, second, I have no idea what you were trying to get at after "poor people".

  • uuuuuummmmm....no? The ancient egyptians never used the hebrew people as slave labor, that was a fairy tale spouted by the bible.

  • No the Pharaoh Ramesis Deal with The Hebrew Cruelly very cruelly .. and he make them a slaves ( REMEMBER i am talk about the RAMESIS' Ages )

  • that's just a piece of jewish/christian/muslim religious propoganda bullshit, no offense. The ancient egyptians used paid peasant laborers for their building projects, not the hebrew people.

  • @brainwasher9876 That's both true and false. The projects of the OLD Kingdom were built by peasant laborers. The projects of the NEW Kingdom, however, were built by slaves. The story of Moses is situated in the New Kingdom.

  • That really depends on your definition of a "slave". All people in the Egyptian kingdom was, to an extent, a slave of the Pharaoh. But they got paid for their efforts and given shelter and lodging in return for their loyalties. The peasant workers in both the old and new kingdoms were conscripted, true, but they were compensated for it.

  • I always liked the part where he says "one day you will rule Egypt, my son"

  • EPIC!! This game is nearly 10 years old now, wow... it's still one of the best games I've ever played.

  • O i love this game so much

  • It doesn't have one, man.

  • They dont make games like that anymore ...

  • For a game this has really cool music. It reminds me of the beginning of an epic film.

  • oh many games have great music today

for example Bioshock it has one of the best soundtracks in general that i know

  • Do the guys in the chariots at the end realize that they're going to hit those statues?

  • @gertrude7 Heh... When I was a kid, I noticed that.

  • this game came free with my windows 2000 lol

  • lol hey, I think that's how I got mine too! With my Gateway package!

  • I also got it with my windows 2000 LOL

  • Best city builder ever...

  • great game. i remember when i played in it :)

    but zeus is better game...

  • Hahaha, I remembered that from this intro... look closely at 2:05, that one chariot is running straight into the statue. Oof...

  • I used to love playing this game when i was like 10. I'm 19 now, lol.

Love to start playing it again - Does anyone know where I can download it?

  • i think the reason some people didnt get this movie because they only did the small installation

  • Most likely, matt

  • i played this game for like 7 years ago ! its a realy nice game and i want to start playing it again , but i lost my cd so do any one know a place where i can download it ?

  • i love this game

  • hey, how come i didn't get this movie ??

  • I love this game so much! (I play the german version°-^) But -sadly-on my new PC all the Videos like this one don't show up uu So I am happy to see at least this one again ^o^

  • I LOVE games to build a city from the ancient world

  • Its an amazing game. It sometime takes more to complete one mission than to finish other games entirely. BTW i played polish version (my native language) and i think narration was much better than in this one.

  • No kidding, when I brought this game I started making a huge city. I finished it awhile ago and when I had nothing else to do I would spend time just watching people roam around the city and make some minor improvements. But a few months ago my pc had crashed and I lost the save file for the huge city. I decided to start making it again but its going to be awhile. Man I love that grand pyramid complex =)

  • Oh yeah! That's one of the greates games I've ever played!

  • Heh, think someone else posted a spanish version?
