@defect530 It's not Crackle's fault. Youtube programs the ads. This time, every 10 minutes there was an ARMY ad, which was quite ironic, considering this is an anti-war movie.  And, thankfully, this time the volume of the ad wasn't higher than that of the movie. That you should credit to Crackle, as I've warned them of the volume problem for months, and I guess Youtube finally listened. The volume problem persists with the other movie providers.

Ads pay for free movies. Don't hate them.

@brainouty i understand the concept of adds but it pissed me off to get almost all the way through the movie and have it freeze up. then when i tried to get back to the same spot i had to watch 7 more adds in a row! and still couldn't watch it. i got frustrated.

@defect530 Yep, same thing happened to me. Happens a lot on all the Youtube movies. It is frustrating, but it's not Crackle's fault. Best we can do is complain like you are doing here, and that way Crackle can direct Youtube to the problem, to see we the users are complaining. There's no other way to get Youtube to listen.

I had good luck directly with Google, but now they are discontinuing their own videos, they just emailed me about it.  So maybe they will tell Youtube about the problem.

Try a little tenderness. When first played in Air Force movie houses, many of the SAC pilots fell out during the opening, since most had to do the in flight refueling. At times, you had to "try alot of tenderness" to feness the 52 into place to refuel.

lol alright.. interesting movie. i found the ending rather eerie, then again the whole movie was kind of discomforting. i can only imagine it was more so at the time it was released when the threat of something like this actually happening seemed all the more real.

It's hard to believe that this film was made in 1964, and today, in 2011, the B-52 is still the workhorse of the strategic air command. Of course in this film they are D models, and those are all phased out now. G's and H's are all that are left. There was once a plan for a J model that used 4 C5 engines instead of the 8 they have now. Would have been a badass machine. Never built it. I suppose they still could...

One thing the description leaves out IMHO is that this this film was made as a comic version of an earlier film (actually release the same year - 1964) called "Failsafe", which is an excellent fim starring Henry Fonda, Walter Mathau, and a very young Larry Hagman. Check it out. It's also available on YouTube as a full movie.

The title is misleading: Dr. Strangelove is barely in the movie, and it doesn't seem like anyone, the audience included, stops worrying or learns to love the bomb. Irony at its best. ¡Es muy delicioso!
