Also if you were to play the actual original game you would see that the Pirhana Plants don't disappear, they slowly recede back down into the pipes. (he would have died numerous times.)

He also didn't see the princess until 5:15, so technically he was over 5 minutes.

Yeah, but this would never happen in the newer versions of mario. I had the version for wii for 2 years, and I didn't want to waste money on other games, so I spent like 70 or so hours on it and it still took me 24 mins to beat it, world 1-5-8. :(

guys, wait before you call this guy a poser or hacker. he's just exploiting the loopholes in the programming to avoid getting hit by the plants or flowers. this game is an old game, and the programming isnt that good. mario's pixel may have hit the plant or flower by a little, but the programming couldn't detect it and thats why mario didnt die. this is how this guy exploit the loopholes.
