in MY (and from others too) opinion the thing is; Brain should be with the Beattles, and Lennon with the Stones...Lenon was stones fan n.1 and Brain to the Beattles with all you need is love psicalic stuff...
WHEN THE ENGINE ROOM OF BRIAN JONES BLEW UP , THE STEEL WHEELS UNFORTUNATELY KEEP ROLLING ON FOREVER ! ! ! BRIAN JONES WAS THE BONA FIDA REAL DEAL MUSIC GOD ! ! ! LIKE JAGGER BUT RICHARDS COMES ACROSS AS A WANKER IN HIS INTERVIEWS ! ! ! THEY WERE UNTOUCHABLE IN THE 60S THO !!! FUCKING AMAZING !!! ......UNTIL BRIAN LEFT US TOO EARLY !!!
You know I may not have gotten into the Stones had it not been for Jones? The guy had an air about him - the clothes, the instruments, the drugs busts, the stories.
@Cupidville - This is a WONDERFUL TRIBUTE to MY FAVORITE Rolling Stone! Although Mick Taylor and Ron Wood did well with the Rolling Stones, its my guess that the band would have done MAGICAL things if he hadn't been killed! So sad that he had to go!
@AbsintheColour Story is that when Anna Wohlin came back downstairs she saw what she found and Thorogood looking guilty. She thinks Jones may have taunted Thorogood once too often, and that he may have lashed out at Jones, holding his head under water. She was packed off out the country really fast within a week or so I think.
@AbsintheColour I think he was murdered. But we don't know for sure. Not because these theories are "conspiracy bullshit" but because the cause was never really investigated. The police immediately said it was 'death by misadventure'.
This song reminds of George Harrison a little bit. George was a close friend of Brian's and he thought highly of him. Thanks for posting this moving tribute to the original rolling stone who named them.
@kodifeeder Brian Jones recorded with the Beatles on "You Know My Name, Look up my Number"..... B-side of the single "LET IT BE" released in 1970. The Beatles loved and adored Sir Brian Jones
Thanks for post but as I have been following your youtube efforts I have seen the brian Jones piece before and continue to like and support your work. If you want to see some of my youtube play go to tloy777
Brian Jones provided the hook for PAINT IT BLACK with the SITAR; Wonderful Marimbas on UNDER MY THUMB; Over-the-top Slide playing on NO EXPECTATION; wonderful guitar weaving on JUMP JACK FLASH; Instrumentation on SHE"S A RAINBOW. Without the HOOKS you don't have a hit. Brian provided that spice that neither Jagger/Richards could provide. The band has never sounded the same pure sound that they had with Brian Jones. In Brian they were more PIONEERS of Rock on the cutting edge of creativity
Well, whatever the case, thanks for your shares, it's been real dreamy...I'm gonna go fade out of the tube, now...Maybe someday I'll be back. It's really time to go, now, and once again, thx,...Hugs.
He was the original Stone, the original ruling Stone. For El Rey, it's easy to do the right things. Ruling (oops) Rolling Stones ... sensacional. We love you.........
I love the Stones...they're the greatest. Thanks for sharing Cupe. This is a song that gives total honor to Brian Jones, and it is long overdue....thank you.

Yes it is too bad. I think with Mick being so dominating, Brian was out numbered.
I totally believe Brian had the power, but he was sooo talented with all of the many instruments he could play.. Envy won out.

Love you Brian! You will always be the best Rolling Stone. You are dearly loved and cherished by many.
The world lost so much when you left.

There was only one Biran Jones. He suffered like the rest of us. It is always the gifted that suffer the most.

I thought he just decided to leave. Were
they really that mean to him?
gumby118 2 years ago
He was addicted to drugs and couldn't function well, they were well off without Brian in the end.
Watch the video to Sympathy For The Devil in The Rolling Stones Circus event, he didn't look that well.
Y2JROCKFAN 2 years ago 3
Right, how could I forget? He was arrested for marijuana twice in 1968,
and your right, he didn't look well at all because I did see the video for Sympathy For The Devil
gumby118 2 years ago
Yes, they were very cruel to him, they were eging him out of his own band. They played nasty tricks on him alot.
He had it all. Mick can never be like him.
