Jesus: Served the Church and desired to see it grow spiritually

Men: Desire to serve your wives and help them grow spiritually

It's not about being subservient to your wife; It's about desiring to serve your wife. It's not about having to; It's about wanting to. It's not about legalism; It's about an attitude. Jesus wanted to humble himself and serve the Church (he washed his disciples feet for Pete's sake). We should do the same for our wives.

It sounds as if his answer is "what is a husbands responsibility" If your wife demands ice, go get it.... Keep in mind, If you do exactly what your wife says there will be no marital conflict. However, that's not much of a marital relationship. And, it does not sound like "leadership" to me.

@jrswordfish1 sorry, i thought you were a Christian saying his analogy was bull. but i don't believe its chauvinistic at all. all the bible teaches is that men should be leaders which is only natural. just because there is a structure on earth that men should lead doesnt make them any better than women. the bible actually says there is no man or woman in the kingdom of God. Leading does not make man superior. just a role that men play. even in atheist relationships men usually lead
