@Ascen215 They're called survival bracelets because when you cut the paracord, the "guts" of it are several strands that come undone. You can take a single strand and use it for sewing, fishing -- whatever you need. So yes, it's literally a survival bracelet. The more elaborate the bracelet design, the more it eats up cord length. This means more cord on just one bracelet. :)
@LakeofGlass In the army I've always known it as 550 cord, because supposedly it will support 550 pounds on a single cord (guts and everything still inside). I've never tested its weight limit, but the stuff is useful as hell, and I've never been able to break one with my bare hands, and I've even used it in place of steel brackets before when erecting shelters and never had it offer to break on me.

And my bracelets look a WHOLE LOT BETTER than the cheapies due to the unique way I've developed of making them.
i make paracord wristbands myself. i saw them at my local army surplus store and i wanted one but it was like $20 and they weren't even my size i have a big almost 10in wrist so i had to learn how to make them. the paracord cost $7 and its got 100 ft each so i got 3 different colors. now i make them and sell them for $5 to friends to my church my brother even tells his friends. i've made at least $300 bucks and i started 4 months ago

It takes me over one hour per bracelet to make these due to the unique way I developed to make these (no, I'm not referring to the "cobra knot"...I'm talking about the way I construct the bracelet and no, I'm not going to explain how I make them because it is MY way that I developed. You get 30-50% more cord in mine than you do the cheapie 5-minute bracelets.
And -- you are obviously one of those people I mentioned elsewhere that just takes everything I say, adds onto it (length of time to make a bracelet, length of cord used, cost of cord, etc.) to try to make it *appear* that you use the same materials, method, etc. to try to make it sound like your crap is as good as mine, even though it's not. @MakeOurWay - In a survival situation you can take apart the bracelet and use the paracord for many different things. Depending on how the bracelet was made, there is usually several several feet of useable paracord. Paracord it self is comprised of 5 inner strands that are rated at 50lbs each. You can use the paracord to make traps, weapons, shelter, watercraft, etc. The paracord as a bracelet is a good way of always having it on you. Because you never know when you will need it.
@CuriousKimification Oh, ok, I will then tell you a bit about it... The breaking point of this cord is 550 pounds. Under normal circumstances you won't ever use it, but in case you ever need it, this bracelets have like 9 feet of cord, which can save, let's say, a child from a hole? No, I do not. All the cord in my bracelets is intact, with all the inner strands. I agree that removing them destroys the bracelet's "survival" applications (sewing, snares, traps, fishing line, etc.). Unfortunately, all these people posting about the cheap ones generally remove those strands.
My bracelets also have substantially more cord than the cheapie ones that are made with cheap, Chinese materials. All materials in my bracelets are manufactured in the United States.

These things are amazing, I've had mine on for two weeks and I'm still alive. They're also really good when you're lost in the wilderness as you can unravel them and weave a bracelet while you're waiting to be rescued.

It takes me over one hour per bracelet to make these due to the unique way I developed to make these (no, I'm not referring to the "cobra knot"...I'm talking about the way I construct the bracelet and no, I'm not going to explain how I make them because it is MY way that I developed. You get 30-50% more cord in mine than you do the cheapie 5-minute bracelets.

@MakeOurWay - In a survival situation you can take apart the bracelet and use the paracord for many different things. Depending on how the bracelet was made, there is usually several several feet of useable paracord. Paracord it self is comprised of 5 inner strands that are rated at 50lbs each. You can use the paracord to make traps, weapons, shelter, watercraft, etc. The paracord as a bracelet is a good way of always having it on you. Because you never know when you will need it.

No, I do not. All the cord in my bracelets is intact, with all the inner strands. I agree that removing them destroys the bracelet's "survival" applications (sewing, snares, traps, fishing line, etc.). Unfortunately, all these people posting about the cheap ones generally remove those strands.
My bracelets also have substantially more cord than the cheapie ones that are made with cheap, Chinese materials. All materials in my bracelets are manufactured in the United States.
