  • Well done!

  • Great job! I love that tune. BoB Wills Chouldnt Have Said It Better, LoL. You Guys Do It good To. I Like Your version as well as Hags and BoBs. Keep Up The Good Work. Yours Truly ......MrToe

  • Really cute! Your daughter (I'm guessing the guitar player on the right is her dad), is a really good singer, and I wouldn't be surprised if she becomes well-known someday. The whole band is great, but I'd love to hear you all do it the fast-paced, traditional Bob Wills "country swing" way, instead of more laid-back jazz.

  • how freaking adorable! great job! keep up the good work kiddo!

  • that is wonderful! thanks for posting and keep up the good work.

  • PROPS to that bass player from 1:50 - 2:00 !!!

  • its pretty good....but just a bit out of tune at some points. but at some points its awesome!

  • Fantastic : Singing&Playing,,,love that western swing.BTW who is that fine leadguitarplayer,,what a taste & tone,,GREAT!

(Can i find more of him,,?)

    THANX

    Biel

  • Thanks Biel for the kins words about Lauren and the band!.....Our lead guitar player that night was Joe Manuel....He is a great player and friend. He has played on the road with Merle Haggard, George Strait and Lee Ann Womack amoung others.........Thanks....Jeff

  • That was wonderful!! You are a real talent.

  • Great job by everyone! I will be looking for more video by this talented young lady and the band.

  • Thanks much!

  • Talent with a capital T....this is awesome..have you released any cds ?...post more.

  • Thanks for the compliments....No we don't have a CD of her yet.......We're letting her be a kid......thanks

  • Good for you-the uke is, after all, about fun! And looks like a lot of it!

  • I used to watch this video a couple of years ago when it was first released. I came back to it today, and it's still great.

  • Thanks,,,,We're glad it's holding up so well!

  • Good Lord, that's swinging! I don't know who this little girl is, but I expect great things in her future. All the best Lauren, you go girl! You're a natural!

Pam Brandon (Lost Weekend Swing Band)

  • How old is this video? This little girl is very good! You keep it goin.

  • It is about 2 years old...Lauren is 11 now...Thanks for the compliments....I have some new videos I'll post soon....

  • My ukulele band has just learned this song for our March gigs. It's a lot of fun. Lauren does a great job on it.

  • NEAT !!! It was the second song I learned when I started the uke (with Ring of fire by Cash)

BUT she plays it better !!!! (i'm only a beginner though)

which chords does she use ?

  • Thanks.....We play it like this... C6-C#dim-Dm7-G9...F6-C6-D7-G7....Give it a try...

  • Thanks !

  • ..Totally COOL...

  • BB Morse ont the bass fiddle is still the King

  • Excellent! I just learned how to play this song (and about Western Swing in general) at Cape Cod Mandolin Camp.

At first I thought Lauren was playing a Tenor Guitar, but I see from the comments it's a Ukelele.

Anyway, she's got talent, and at what a young age!

  • Thanks much!,,,Good luch with your Western Swing playing.

  • that young lady can sing!!!!! please post some more. i love those classic western swing songs

  • Thanks much....We will when we get more..

  • She's got real animation and stage presence, reminds me of Shirley Temple. I'm glad to see youngsters involved in Western Swing. Now if I can only steer my kid away from Bach and into Floyd Domino...

  • i grew up with a bob wills tape in the car and to this day i can still sing all the words to the songs and im glad to see good music still alive in some of us young people

  • Me too...Thanks....

  • What a wonderful rendition. Who are the musicians and where are they playing? Great job. Support live music in your community.

  • Hi, and thanks much for your compliments...We were playing at Threadgill's in Austin, Tx. The band consists of Lauren Beller on ukulele, Jeff Beller, (her daddy) on ryhtm guitar, BB Morse on bass and Joe Manuel on lead guitar, (Joe plays on the road with Merle Haggard and the Strangers..He is awesome!)

  • If you don't know who Ray Benson is then why you watching this western swing stuff? Look him up on the web, better yet download some of his stuff.

  • Even better... Go and BUY some or if you have the chance, go see Asleep at the Wheel live!

But I digress; wonderful job Lauren! Texas puts out some of the best, from Bob Wills to SRV!

  • how come the camera missed the good part, guitar solo.

  • Because "mommy" was doing the filming and she is more interested in her baby girl than anything else!...LOL

  • That's awesome, such a great song, and y'all played wonderfully.

  • Thanks!...How nice of you to say....Jeff

  • who the #*#* is Ray benson..?

  • Thanks much....She's amazing isin't she...

  • This is great! At 9 I was too distracted by legos and bugs to be this talented.

  • very nice

  • Well thank you so much....We are glad you enjoyed it!

  • That was most excellent all the way around! Great singing, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, and bass work too!

  • I'm a big fan of Gypsy Swing (Django)and Western Swing, and this is awesome!!!! Good job Lauren and everybody else........great to hear musicians who keep this style of music alive and kicking!

  • Lauren Beller sings "Roly Poly" better than Ray Benson sings it.

  • The little girl singer is Lauren Beller, she is my daughter, I am her father and rythm guitar player, Jeff. Joe Manuel is the lead player. Yes, isin't Joe a great picker!Currently he is on the road a lot with Merle Haggard and the Strangers. Lauren is quite a little talent at such a young age of 9 years old. Threadgill's is a local musical venue in town here. Sorry the view of us all on stage was not always wide enough to see Joe, Mommy does the filming...LOL...Thanks, Jeff

  • Wow! Who are these people? Lauren is fantastic. Excellent lead guitar - too bad you can't see Joe Manuel. The string bass and other rhythm guitarist are pretty hot too. Does anybody know when and where this was filmed?

  • Ahh, now!!! Good job, Lauren!
