  • I'm going to see them at Rock En Seine in August (music festival in France like Reading etc...) and I think what happened on the last seconds of the video are not likely to happen up there, not on pre-puzzle songs... Too bad. :/

  • Wow indeed, Simon.

  • did this for my gcse music practical on the drums. full marks hiyo! lol

  • Holy Fuck. Simon's wearing a shirt.

  • I've watched a shit load of biffy clyro videos and I think this is the best one of them live on youtube <3

  • why does everyone have to fucking argue on youtube about everything? shut the fuck up and enjoy it.

  • *Mainly directed to Jimbob* I like yourself liked Biffy before Puzzle, but everytime I go on youtube to watch a live performance, all I see is comments about how "your not a really Biff fan if you've only liked them since Puzzle". Puzzle and Only Revolutions were excellent albums! People seem to disregard this. As much as I love the classics such as 27 or Diary of Always, tunes like 9/15ths and Whorses are excellent too..You've known of Biffy for longer than other people...want a medal....??

  • now im goin to admit i didnt no of biffy clyor before 2009 but i am proud to say that i didnt find out about them throught only revalutions and radio play i found aout about them through mu cusin adn going to reading and seeing them (which was amzining) aand i do like the new stuf but as soon as soon as i realy got into thier music i didnt just ltisen to only revalutions i listend to everything thed done nd got it all and now i have fallen in love with song such as 27 ,57 ,glitter and trouma :D

  • AMAZING SONG! <3

  • god damn these dudes are bad ass Im from usa and we really need this band. We really have nothing great, Pearl jams old dave mathews cant seem to get it together blah blah this is the cats pajamas.

  • @brianwurst1234 they really do deserve some recognition in the states, but its nice to hear theres still some fans over the pond. its even better when they use "the cats pajamas" to describe em aha. rock on, good sir

  • I, personally, love Biffy's old stuff. But I love their new stuff just as much. Their new stuff is instantly recognisable and easy to sing along to; which is what equals success in the modern scene. But their old stuff is classic and interesting. My favourite songs by them are 57 and Boom, Blast and Ruin. What does that tell you? Mon the Biffy! No matter what they do!! :D

  • 2.28-2.40 is soooo beast when james and ben sing together ><><

  • what do you mean a crap mainstream crowd - every single one of them is singing the words here!

  • Am I the only person in the world who thinks every biffy album is a masterpiece and doesn't give a shit that they've become more popular recently? I think it's great that they've finally got the attention that they certainly deserve and that people are realising that there's music a billion times better than my chemical fucking romance. Just because they've become more popular doesn't mean blackened sky and Vertigo don't exist. They're still there and still wonderful so who cares? MON THE BIFFY!

  • @EoinMurMur93 I'm with you pal. good for them. People shouldn't get so annoyed - fair enough people will know one song and go to see them, but they deserve it, all that hard work, they deserve this more than anyone. Good for them, Mon The Biff.

  • The band admitted that they will release an album that is more commercial in order to sell more so that they can eventually return to their roots, but with the money to back them. true story. 'hardcore fans' should already know this, but no doubt I will receive about a hundred comments telling me that this is bull shit. I don't care, just thought some people would like to know why the sudden change in style for the last album.

  • @davclou link please?

  • @Chard6 also i agree with this and its an insightful comment

  • simon sounds a bit tipsy ,,, ;D i don't think i've ever heard simon sing like this.. BIFFY CLYRO RULES!!!

  • i like they're new stuff as well, they have kept the same sound and haven't changed like kings of leon have

  • @campbellvstherock if you like the old stuff then listen to the bsides from their singles - they are very reminiscent of old biffy and it means they sell more singles - clever.

  • i also saw this 2nd night at the barras in glasgow as well...fucking best gig of my life!!! mon the fucking biffy!!

  • i dont get why people have a problem with biffy writing more commercial worthy songs. their first 3 albums were genius, but so are puzzle and only revolutions, who else can write a song like that golden rule and get it into a chart for fuck sake. biffy are finally getting the attention they deserve without sacrificing the sound that a lot of people think they have and hardcore fans arent happy?!?!? the fans who dont tolerate their success are fucking idiots!!

  • who thinks biffy give a shit what their label want?

their first label told them to change their name cos it was "wierd" they said no just to stay firm - u'll see interviews of them saying"yeah its a daft name but it gave us purpose and identity" they dont care what labels say man, they just love their new album thats it

  • Best classic Biffy song. Ok, Puzzles was an amazing album that realyl shone for them. But the songs before the break were amazing. This being a stand out favourite. Both Puzzles and Only Revolutions is exactly what Biffy Clyro deserve; one of the best british bands around at the moment.

  • I dont like the new album. I think its a bit over commercial for Biffy Clyro, more what the label want than what they want. Particularly the captain.

  • Agreed, Its definately commercial. But, they do deserve the sucess... Any 'new band' setting off should do what they do, instead of straight into the limelight.

In all honesty, i knew of Biffy a long time ago but never really gave them a change. When they released Puzzles it really did open my eyes to them, and since listening to the older stuff, i regret not being there from the start!

  • that is perfection

  • (L)

  • they played this last night at the barrowlands. it was brilliant

  • That Golden Rule is a beast

  • clearly u dont like biffy...

  • have u heard that golden rule?

  • Comment removed

  • been listening since blackened sky and this is still my favorite song of thiers

  • You havn't heard That Golden Rule have you?

  • i have and it is absolutley amazin

  • I love how this band would be nothing without Ben Johnston. His vocal range still completely amazes me.

His and simons vocals fit together so nicely.

    Mon the biffy!

  • this band would be nothing without all 3 of them. James, Ben, Simon are everything! haha

i agree Ben's vocal range is amazing, very underated. alongside Simon's, best combination in rock music today

  • Simon would be sunk. Ben sings everytime the melody Simon wants to write is too high for him to sing which is really cool.

  • the drummers fucking awsome...wtf you on?

  • omg i love them so much, heard them yonks ago but never really gave them a chance, saw them last year at leeds fest and i fell in love, bought puzzle loved it then bought ther singles album and loved that even more i adore there early stuff :)

  • you lucky shit getting to see this song live ;)

possibly my favourite biffy song, i cant decide between this, justboy and jaggy snake :P

going to see them dec 18th, ive been commenting them on myspace for about the past 3 months begging them to play this song ;)

    x

  • Going to see them at brixton on the 17th, for the second time. Can't f**king wait.

Been a fan since day one........ Can't we just all get along people!!

  • I really really want to see these guys live.

They're brilliant. And no, I'm not just a fan of Puzzle. The Veritgo of Bliss is one of the best albums I've ever listened to. Also, one of their best songs is My Recovery Injection...well, one I really love listening to anyway.

  • The guitar riff in the middle is probably one of the best guitar riffs ever =)

  • shoop da woop seeing them again in december

  • it really annoys me how biffy came the new "cool" band to listen to. I went to see them last sprig and when they played anything that wasnt saturday superhouse or who's got a match only 10% of the crowd seemed to know what was going on. it seems like this in this video too i remember seeing them in 05 and everyperson in the room sand to ever song now even 57 doesnt even get the singalong it used to :( MON THE BIFFY!!!!

  • Twat alert

  • youre the twat. i agree with jimbob 100%. on the one hand, it's obviously good that biffy hvae finally got the recognition they deserved but just as importantly, their old devotees have every right to express a bit of dismay to their sudden elevation because the feeling of singing a long to songs off the first 3 albums really does seem a little tainted when youre stood next to some scally cunt to is screaming for Folding Stars just because he heard it on Radio 1 on his way to the gig

    yep

  • how every egotistical, thinking you are cooler because you heard of a band before other people and want to be the only one who knows the words at a gig. chill

  • i dont think im cooler. it's just a wee bit frustrating to see such a change in such a special band. im all chilled :)

  • couldn't agree more

  • yeah totally agree, its good to see that biffy are gaining more fans and getting more recognition but puzzle fans are annoying

  • ive liked biffy from the early days but its cocks like u that give them a bad name who the fuck cares if people r just gettin in to them through puzzle? if ur a real fan u should be happy that band r growing and reaching out to a new people

  • ok wtf? i said i was happy that biffy were gaining more fans and getting more recognition??

  • I a little bit the same way when Vertigo Of Bliss came out. It's my favourite album but i had to grow to love it at the time as it was quite different from Blackened Sky.

I'm still holding on, hoping for the day i hear 'hope for an angel' live again!!

It's just part of being a Biffy fan. They always feel like "your" band if you know what i mean. It's great they've finally made it though. I remember it took them the first 2-3 albums to move onto bigger venues on tour. Hard work pays off :)

  • I also remember the band once stating something like "It's better to have a thousand fans that love you, then a million that just like you"

  • yeah i agree they do tend to play a puzzle based set but when i saw them live recently they played stuff all they way through from joy discovery invention to mountains so i really enjoyed it

  • yeh but that was cos they were playing a long set to finish off the puzzle tour, so don't know if they will do that on the next tour.

  • @tiddelyjazz yes!

  • @tiddelyjazz I love everything Biffy Clyro has ever produced pretty much equally, I love them and I'm going to see them next sunday and I'll sing along to every damn song they play, I don't give a shit about what the guy next to me is doing because believe me, I won't be looking to my sides

  • its what record labels do to bands

  • @jimbob2100 dude i agree. seen them last year and my friend and i were getting weird looks when we were rocking the fuck out too the classics like 57, glitter and trauma and joy.discovery.invention. so annoying

  • @jimbob2100 Dude, I just discovered Biffy Clyro few months ago and I listen to all albums and they are awesome in particular the first one :) But I totally agree with you ;)

  • @zeLudoo

Hey dude thanks for the good comment. You are the kind of person I love. I am so happy that biffy have got the success that they do deserve but its the fact that people who have no prior knowledge of any pre-puzzle stuff. But you have made the effort to listen to thier old stuff and find out its awesome and probably alot better than the new stuff. thumbs up to you my friend

  • @jimbob2100 Bender.

  • @jimbob2100 I haven't made the effort. When I discover a band, I start by first albums, then you can see how they grew up and compare ;)

  • @jimbob2100 Yeah em.. a LOT of people knew biff before they were famous :L Its no big deal. Its the band making it! Who gives two shits if you saw them in 05. A LOT OF FOLK DID. But i do agree with 57 being an amazing song.

  • @jimbob2100 It's really sad, In Canada it's nearly getting recognition but still unknown

I saw them in 06 at a festival in Europe and it was awesome back then.

None of my European friend knew them but now they ask me if I know them damn I hate that

  • i saw them at brixton yesterday. EXCELLENT LIVE!

  • So good live.

  • Pour les adeptes du culte de Biffy Clyro, c'est par ici!

  • For the followers of the worship of Biffy Clyro, this is by here!? Did you do french in school? Did you fail it?

  • Or did you just use babelfish, very badly. Anyways MON THE BIFFY!

  • I Love this song =)

  • It is an awesome song, saw then in wolverhampton 2 weeksish back, fucking awesome live, and damn catchy, i didnt know most the songs but somehow i was singing along to em all!! This song is ace!

  • amazing song, possibly my favourite on the first album... i love it when he kindof half sings/half screams "pass away" in the chorus
