heres a tip to those playing rafa. dont ever, ever slice. if u do, he'll use that slice to generate 10X more spin on his groundies by whipping over it with ease. to be honest, he can retrieve slice shots easier than normal groundies cauz its slows down and gives him time to hit it as well. if u play rafa, u hit slices at ur peril.
@BrotherTree1 True that dude.. sometimes you can't help but Slice.. there's only 1 person that can stick with Rafa by using the slice and only if he's playing well and that's Federer.
Rafa's game is all about patience and seizing the intuitive in rallies as early as possible. With heavy ground-strokes with high net clearance. Sadly if he is to last on tour he mustn't rely on to much running for his defence.
@ruaridh2k7 What the fuck r u doing here LOL? Yeah true, you have to slice at times either for defence or a change in pace, or because u kinda have to during a rally. Yeh, Fed's slice is probably the most effective out of all players when its used against Rafa, but man.. on clay, Rafa makes everyone's slices look bad.
Talking about Rafa's game, your talkin bout patience and seizing the initiative. I hardly see any of that done to perfection these days. Always ends with horrible UEs -.-
@BrotherTree1 You'll know... Lol:) Fuck dude.. not a soul in heaven stands a chance using the slice on clay against the Matador. Next thing you know you see a pounding crosscourt forehand winner skim past your nose.
Don't get me started on the fruition of Rafa's failure... I noticed in the USO Final this year he was taking like 5 steps behind the baseline to return a Djokovic 2nd serve down the line -.- In this match he's taking risks.
It's funny - people were giving Rafa absolutely NO chance of winning the Open based on his results in the Rogers Cup and Cincinnati and those people were proven wrong ONCE MORE... it is almost exactly like Wimbledon; he lost to Feliciano Lopez in the Queens Club event, then he won Wimbledon.
@kljMN2 i knew something big was up when rafa lost toronto and cincy relatively early. to be honest, IMO, i had this shit coming; it was no surprise :D.
Lol whut, Nadal? 10:46

Even after that monster rally to give Nadal a 4-2 lead, Nadal still looked pissed off. Haha

@BrotherTree1 the forehand especially. maybe if it goes to his backhand, then probably ur slightly less screwed.
