First you have to pay to round them up... then you have to pay to house them until they are ready to die... then you have to pay to execute them... and there the cost varies by which method. This is stupid. No one should have to stay in a marriage if they aren't happy. This would mean battered women, people who have been cheated on by spouses, and people who don't trust each other would be forced by the government to stay in relationship. This and Prop 8 violate our freedom of contract. Even if you aren't gay, Prop 8 was an infringement on your rights. Marriage is first and foremost a contract, not a religious right. This is stupid. No one should have to stay in a marriage if they aren't happy. This would mean battered women, people who have been cheated on by spouses, and people who don't trust each other would be forced by the government to stay in relationship. This and Prop 8 violate our freedom of contract. Even if you aren't gay, Prop 8 was an infringement on your rights. Marriage is first and foremost a contract, not a religious right. If it were a religious right, Atheists wouldn't be married.

This issue is not about sexual orientation: it's the separation of church and state. If the state has the power to prevent gay marriage and to condone straight marriage, it should also have the power to control divorce. Am I missing something?
The government should get out of the marriage business. Everybody wins.

This is a very serious initiative - it is not a satire. There is a big kick off in Sacramento to begin collecting signatures to get it on the Nov 2010 ballot in CA. Everyone please get involved. There is also a Facebook group. Look it up and join. You can't have it both ways CA - this is just an extension of prop 8. Divorce is a sin against the bible and it is a far bigger threat to traditional marriage than gay marriage. We need to protect marriage everyone!

The man behind this ban on divorce was in support of Proposition 8 (anit-gay marriage). The gay community had nothing to do with this.
The funny thing is the large majority of those who voted for Prop 8 to pass will most likely vote for this ban to fail because it affects them instead of Prop 8 which affected other people.
