They are her master's, and she is their pet, and she does as she is told, when she is told, and without batting an eye or even noticing she is being manipulated. Jane is told to look angelic, pure, innocent, while being complete opposite mentally. Dakota is perfect for the role, and an amazing actress. The fact that she is one way in real life means nothing, as she can easy because the scary, twisted Jane. She's amazingly talented.

Jodelle Ferlan could definitely play jane, and with some hair and makeup work could look the part. I think she could do it very well.

However, Dakota looks more innocent, as you pointed out, which is a big character point for jane. She's so innocent looking and underneath she's utterly sadistic. That's the point. and just because Dakota has no experience with villianous roles, doesn't mean she can't do it really good. I'm not SURE how well she'll do, but I have the utmost faith in her ability
