yes!! one of the only games to ever properly display iado technique, and in this game, its very hard to beat. i still play this quite a bit, modern video game developers could learn how to make great games by looking back to the 90s.

They really need to remake Bushido Blade. The game would kick so much ass on the newer consoles. But then again it might just get ruined depending on which company picked it up. The closest thing I can find to this game is Deadliest Warrior, and it's just not the same.

this game is amazing, because theres no health bars :D its not doing combos or special attacks or anything, it was about getting that single, perfect, killing blow, it takes a moment to get the hang it but it becomes easy once you learn when to strike

PLEASE REMAKE THIS GAME! I don't care what console, keep the one hit kills, keep having to find distance and timing, or make it harder with more versatile moves ;)

and make make it EXTREMELY BLOODY AND GORY.

To this day it's still my favorite PS1 game, I can't imagine what they could do if they remade it on PS3 or 360 with this concept.

@snakeheartbr On the PS2's browser screen hit triangle twice to bring up the menu. The setting doesn't stay saved, so if you turn your system off or reset it you have to go back and turn it on again.

I remember this game. They also had special melee moves different with each characters. Melees includes karate moves and some kind of assassination moves and stuff. If I remember correctly, you'll have to get near the enemy and Tap Back + O. It's an old, old game. lol I remember playing this when I was like 13 or 14 year old. I'm 22 now. :D

i was so disappointed with this game. i got after i just went through the first one without getting hit and beat Kage then i get this half-assed clunky piece of shit. its fun enough, and i dont suck at it or anything, it was just poorly done. voice acting sucks, fighting has a bunch of issues as far as animations and clipping go, and the storyline makes no sense at all. It cant be sequel or a prequel because a prequel couldn't have tatsumi, and a sequel couldn't have Black Lotus. it just sucks.

What I think happened. I think Square had this one (2) developed ages ago maybe when the PS1 first came out. They put it on the back burner for other projects. They forgot they had this game and made Bushido Blade 1. After they got Bushido Blade 1 out they were doing spring cleaning and found a this copy of Bushido Blade. What could they do they already had Bushido Blade 1 out so they didn't do an dang thing with slapped a 2 on the end and released it.

I got the Japanese version and the English version sure sounds odd.The voices are rather mechanic XD Either way,shame they don't make games like these anymore,I remember hogging this game for 1 and a half year?Games now-a-days,geez,they last like only half a year.Their only flashy but they never make use of the technology to create better gameplays and in the case of RPGs,their storylines are getting unoriginal and poor.(I think my English sucked at some points :P)

Remembered bringing my friends home to play this...I used the character who wears the blue clothes and uses two swords all the time.Though I used others just to unlock more characters.The dual wield really good,remembered throwing the spare sword into my friend's character then he blocks it then I rushed forward and sliced him...Anyone have a vid about the special attacks.I only remember one about the character moves the sword in a circle than attacking like a manic.

The only reason companies say its "illegal" is for a childish reason, much like the way we were as kids, we have something, then discard it and forget it, till our brother or sister get a hold of it, THEN we want it again.
