Keeping the ball a little longer, to do the right move, does not mean you are a selfish player. In Zidane's case, sometimes he hold the ball, as you mentioned, to make the right pass. I think it's no doubt Puskas was better than Best, and Zidane is somewhere like Best, Garrincha, Müller, Matthews, Zico etc., just behind the legends. And the two gods are Maradona and Pele, Maradona first of all. I think it's no doubt Puskas was better than Best, and Zidane is somewhere like Best, Garrincha, Müller, Matthews, Zico etc., just behind the legends. And the two gods are Maradona and Pele, Maradona first of all. Puskas was elected (without Zidane, Ronaldo, Messi) the 6-7th best but I think he was better than Beckenbauer and these three so he is in top 5.

For taste colors babe.If you can call a football player one of the best ever, after seeing him playing for 2 years, well then your mind it's fucked up very bad.Let's say Ronaldihno is on top 5 as well, because he played very well for 2 years. Man, I have more idea of football, I can assure you. Messi is 22 years old... He played for 3-4 years, but when you look at a genius like Messi in 2004-2009 or Ronaldo the brazilian in 96-98, you see the genius for the first sight. No matter how many years they play, they are genius, gods. Zidane could play for 100 years but he would never be god.

Unique touch is far not enough. And one moment, one match, when he dribbled Ronaldo, a striker... I guess you think Pele was better than Maradona too, cause he achieved more titles with less creativity. Zizou had a great influence, but Ronaldo or Puskas could win a match at one moment, just know more about Puskas, he was the "top scorer of the century", a genius, and his intelligence was far bigger, he was voted the 6th best. I wonder Zidane would voted 6th too.

yes, Messi is far better, his improvisation, creativity, speed, and he is far the best in his time, and not the second best:D I met a lot of "Zidanes", players who were technically perfect and knew everything, but less "Messis", who had so unique solutions.

I agree with you, Zidane was technical but it wasn't spectacular like some brazilians who run fast and have amazing skills. Nevertheless, when you see Zidane, everything is beautiful and easy and moreover he has the best vision of the game i've ever seen. He plays for the team and not for himself and he builds the game of the team. speed skill is required mostly at the point of getting goals and all goals of zidane r ginuisly fast u know he scored alot of goals from the midfield from the beginning touch , besides speed skills in general fade with time and getting old however the skill of better control to the ball remains.

Zizou was a great dribbler and playmaker, with great touch and passes but I c'mon compare him just to Platini, who made always the sickest solutions, who was fast and could decide a match. He was the only player that could do ballet with the ball and after he joined Real Madrid, I have never seen him lose the ball without winning a foul or throw in. Plus, except for his last ever penalty during the WC final, he has always blasted his penalty to his left, and no goalkeepers in the world could save anyone of them.
