Afghanistan was created by Ahmad Shah Baba in 1747. Before that time most of Afghanistan was part of India and Herat was part of Persia. Incidentally Ahmad Shah Baba was born in Multan, India.
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind and how about the greeks and turks/ottomans when they conquered Afghanistan and left their genetics there are considered afghans??? A lot of afghans come from different countries, why do u only single out punjabis?? I am curious??
greeks and ottomans left. There are currently no greeks or ottomans in Afghanistan, or I would clearly say that they aren't non-natives either. The hindus of Afghanistan are actually indians. This is a known fact and can be observed by the language they speak at home.
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind What about persians and tajiks that moved to afghanisthan and still speak farsi or tajik, how come they are afghan then??? and not punjabis?? And afghans that moved to india are considered indians.
Shubroto, tajiks (persians) didn't 'move' to Afghanistan. They always lived there. Afghanistan (as well as Pakistan west of the river Indus) used to be a part of Iran, until the late 1700s which was when Ahmed Shah Baba carved out a separate country from eastern Iran. The persians who fell under the rule of the Afghans(aka Pashtoons) took the title of 'Afghan' as their nationality, but the fact is they have always lived in Afghanistan.
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind but what about the budhists that lived in afghanistan many many years ago???? where they punjabis too? The budhist monuments, where they built by by punjabis??? Was gandahar that extended from mordern peshawar to afghanistan punjabi that moved to afghanistan as well????
Hinduism in Afghanistan has existed for almost as long as Hinduism itself.
The religion was widespread in the region until the Islamic conquest of Afghanistan. It has been documented in recent years that thousands of Hindus live in Afghanistan, mostly in major cities such as Kabul, Kandahar, Jalalabad, and others.
Just because someone rules somewhere doesn't mean that place becomes the nationality of the ruler. India was also ruled by the British. Does that mean the Indians are now British? Everything west of the river is part of the Iranian civilization. Bactria in the North with its capital at Gandahara and Balkh. I'm not talking about who and who 'ruled' areas. india ends (as a cultural civilization) ends on the eastern banks of the Indus river, regardless of who ruled who.
once again ppl need to stop being ignorant i dont care if ur muslim, jew, hindu if your proud to be afghan then i have love for you....i as i pashtoon afghan love my afghan hindus
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind No one in his right mind moves from Punjab to Afghanistan. What I assume is that before Ahmad Shah Baba created Afghanistan in 1747 AD, the areas stretching from Kandahar to Kabul to Peshawar were part of India's Punjab province. Even today these areas are economically and emotionally connected to Punjab than Iran. The language of Kabul was Kabuli which is a dialect of Punjabi.
Well obviously if there are panjabis and sindhis in Afghanistan they moved there from panjab and sindh. Not quite rocket science. And your assumption is incorrect. Before Ahmad Shah Baba carved out Afghanistan, that area was Iran. India as a cultural civilization ends on the eastern banks of the Indus River on the other side of which live the Iranian peoples. Had that area been Panjab then its language would have been Panjabi. Peshawar and Kandahar were cities of Bactria(Pakhtria).
it doesnt matter that hindus moved to afganistan? i agree kandahar was part of greater bactria but you have to know that bactrians also moved to east, west, south etc
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind also back then iran/afghanistan had greek influence as well. During the zoroastrian period and before that the hindu period. MAny invaders came and setled in afghanistan and brought there DNA and culture but that is ok, but when hindus come there..they are foreigners....Also iranian people themselves are mixed look it up...not caucasian people but iranian people. Watching this makes me appreciate india sooo much more.
Afghan hindus aren't really Afghans. They're Hindus who had moved to Afghanistan for purpose of conducting business. Some of these hindus also live in the North West Frontier and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan. Again, they aren't Pashtoons or Balochis. They speak Panjabi and Riasti (a dielect of Sindhi) at home. They had only learned Pashto and Farsi from the Afghans/Pashtoons/Balcohis.
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind - The Hindus in Kabul, Ghazni, Jalalabad, Laghman, and most of Kandahar speak Punjabi and ethnically they are Punjabis. Some Hindus in Kandahar speak Sindhi. The Hindus in Paktia speak Pushtu.
They might have moved from other places, but no one knows from where. Physically it is impossible to distinguish between Afghan Hindus and Afghan Pashtoons.
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind and many afghan muslims moved to afghanistan from iran, uzbekistan, tajikistan and even some from russia...so u are foreigners too......stop talking like u are a expert man. They arent afghans they are iranians and uzbeks but u welcome them why??? and hindus are foreigners??? hahahahaha
I didn't even use the "foriegner" I know hindus of Afghanistan have Afghan nationality. I said they migrated to Afghanistan from india, which can be seen, in the above video, from their dress, language, religion etc. "Hind" means india so anyone who is "Hindu" is naturally from Hind. You know there are Zoroastrians in Karachi, Pakistan and Bombay India called "Parsi", "Pars" meaning a place in Iran. So though their nationality is Pakistani and Indian today, they're still "Parsi".
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind yes i know about the parsis in india i know some myself, but many iranians, uzbeks and tajiks migrated to afghanistan too and they have afghan citizenship. so even though their nationality is afghan today they are still iranians or tajiks..etc etc
It's not a hindu-Muslim thing like you're making it out to be. The facts are facts. The Afghan ethnic group (the pashtoons) have always resided there. The persians (tajiks), and Uzbeks fell to Afghanistan when Ahmed Shah Baba carved a nation their out of the ashes of imperial Iran.
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind yes i know facts and facts, all is said was that tajiks and iranians in afghanistan have their roots elsewhere..namely iran and tajikisthan. Now they have afghan citizenship, when alexander the great went through afghanistan..his men impregnated local women, so did the turks when afghanistan was under the ottoman empire. A lot of turkish blood too.
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind Also iranian peoples need to speak their language back in iran and leave afghanistan......i can say the same thing u see. Afghanistan imported a lot of persian culture, so why cannot it import anything the other side as well?????????
@GeorgiaIsOnMyMind bro u are right, even they don,t look like pashtuns or afghans, but its sad that they represent afghans in germany, i know many of them here these filthy people
Well obviously the bride is Afghan and the groom is Hindu. When they're both dancing the groom doesn't really know what to do while the bride dances fine.
@afggal16 You retard, they are AFGHAN HINDUS, Hindus who are Afghans. Non-Muslim Afghans had to leave Afghanistan because of stupid Muslim radicals like you who can't tolerate anyone else and yet you expect them to tolerate you when you come to their country.
@AfghanPathanWarrior Whoa. Someone's angry. Honestly, I don't understand why you couldn't have said "No you're wrong, they're Afghan-Hindus" but instead you had to call me a retard and rude about it. Seriously, people these days...all people do is fight and argue over everything. Please somebody show me an instance when someone is nice about something? And think twice before you start pointing fingers at people.
@afggal16 You ignorantly assumed that all Afghans are Muslim. So you said one is Hindu and the other is Afghan, when you never considered the fact that there are Afghan Hindus.
@AfghanPathanWarrior Okay, wrora, listen up. I don't want to argue about history or religion or all this stupid crap. I don't have the energy to and frankly, I don't want to. Okay they are Afghan-Hindus, my mistake, my sincere apologies go out to anyone who got offended by what I said.
