  • Awesome Song!!!!!!!!

  • @shroyuken im with u on that one

  • @SwiftBuffaloEater lol same.

  • @Tr4nB0y and me too

  • Call me crazy, but this actually makes Rapture sound like a nice place.

  • Finally no fagget remix

  • Awesome...

  • i let my parents listen to this, and they thought that this was such a good game, until I showed them a trailer or two, then though they it was too violent. oh well, I know I love the games

  • Walking in to the bathisphere,

Me: awwww such pleasant music! no way this could be a death trap *pulls lever*

you can imagine my face when Johnney got his ass handed to him by the splicer...

  • Lately alot of theese " bioshock" soundtracks have popped up on YouTube, including some with the name Django Reinhardt attached to them.I don´t know anything about the game but I´ve been listening to Django all my life and there´s something phony about some of the recordings I´ve heard so far ( including this one, but not so obvious as others)Where does it actually explicitely read that theese footages are Django Reinhardt ? if not, I have my doubts on some of them and some are for certain fakes

  • @FenceThis Listened to DR and SG all my life and i'd say this is them,if not i want to go to a concert by these musicians!

  • YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS i finally found this song. :D

  • Absolutely amazing. Leaves me with chills, while terrifying me of what lies ahead. Hang on to the present. Beautiful.

  • this music also hear in Bioshock 1, when the player enter the lighthouse.

  • how about we just call it music, no labeling, just some good artistic music that we could all enjoy :) If not that's cool too it was just a thought you know. hahah

  • This version of the song seems kind of creepy. It really fits the game quite nicely. :)

  • @RashTopCompruter Quite eerie..

  • What would one call this musical genre? Sing? Smooth Jazz?

  • @speedwaypinoy I wouldn't call it 'Sing', seeing as how it has no lyrics...

  • @speedwaypinoy

    gypsy jazz :]

  • It sounds like a professional violinist playing with a hyper guitar player who doesn't quite know how to play the middle part of the song... But I still like this alot, thx for the upload.

  • @fouxcrackr The hyper guitar player only had two fretting fingers to work with. The other two were largely disabled due to a fire in his youth.

EDIT: For a moment there I thought you were talking about his facility. Django Reinhardt's improvisation is exquisite. He uses dissonance as tension to resolve to the next chord. Perhaps it is a bit overdone, but when you're used to Reinhardt's other material, his improvisation here is genius.

  • Would you kindly do another version of this called "beyond the sky" and play it in Bioshock Infinity?

  • @FireOps that would be totally awesome

  • Haunting simply amazing :D

  • Sofia Lamb pressed the dislike button.

  • "and watch as the ships...

  • @Bioshock7000 naah... year 1912.. wake up

  • My son dedicated this song to his mom who is really sick at 36 years old.. He loves her and this music so much!!!!!

  • NEMO MUSIC!

  • This really should play during the credits at the ending of every Bioshock... I mean really, it's perfect.

  • I wanna live in rapture! i dont care if i become a splicer or my hand has electric power!

  • I hope the next Bioshock will have some good music like this.

  • Perfect song.

  • There is a good french version of this soung outthere, playing in Mr Bean Vacation or something like that

  • this is by far my favoret song in bio 2

  • this song is so sooting

  • I heard this song when you entered the Batheshpere in in the light house in Bioshock 1

  • I loved the sound track for this game.

  • Around 3:26 to 3:27 you can hear this twitch in the music. I think these things are what gives this music it's charm these days. Beautiful one!

  • This song is great. I can't help but think of Rapture when I hear it now...

  • I prefer the original version, but this one is pretty good too !

  • This is the best song in bioshock 2.....:D

  • well i thought when i was playin as little sister

it will be so great if those nice songs on everywhere

between the white sheets, roses even thats not real

  • nice song 4:20

  • theres something in the sea i know it

  • @redfield916 are you mark meltzer

  • Must say this game is splendid I often seem to play it at christmas with my cousins they are really awesome at it. I was lucky enough to get it utterly free for my ps3 here - 115 games {.} com there are literally thousands best thing about it is they are all free too oh by the way 1:33 to 2:43 was sterling

  • It sounds like Beyond The Sea. Listen. But I like it.

  • @neutralcartman2

That's because it is beyond the sea.

  • @neutralcartman2 thats because it is Beyond The Sea. Beyond The Sea was a cover by Bobby Darin of Charles Trenet's version of La mer.

  • The reason bioshock was so successful was that 2K brought something nobody has seen before, they used a underwater city that was set in the 1950's, and to make it even more mysterious, they used old songs like these.

  • Yay ;D la mer!

Wasn't this the music on the installation screen? No? D: If not could someone help me find said music from the installation screen? I can't quite remember how it goes.... exactly.

  • Och this is best song of Bioshock 1:)

  • I plan on building Rapture. I have the money...... I just need the time.

  • @VanguardGames Took Andrew Ryan less than 7 years i think to build the centure 1934-1941 he complet the main tower and some other tall ones (you never go into it on the game tallest building in rapture the point on the top is what the lighthouse is atached to) and other buildings around it (on Bioshock 1 there is a module were you pick up the 1st plasmis, of the city when it was redy in 1941)

  • @VanguardGames more was added in the years ahed up till 1959 were civil war struck everything went to shit you know the rest

  • Damn this brings back memories of Bioshock 1

  • I wish I got the special edition of this game, I would have loved to have the record of this soundtrack.

  • I'mm going to buy the collectors edition of Bioshock and the limited edition of Bioshock 2.

  • i would want to go to rapture when it wasn't messed up :P if it is, i'll just wear a big daddy suit and kill them all with a drill>:D

  • Until you run our of fuel. D:

  • @lowhigh000 Hell. You know if rapture was real like the messed up version were real, Andrew Ryan would never release ADAM to anyone except maybe test subjects. But most likely people have decided to dispose of it permenantely. But of course, just like narcotics they always find their way into the system. But still chaos won't erupt like that tho.

  • @Daflaminasian There was a civl war then things just got worce from there incidonts started springing up pepole got hucked and adam messed with there heads remember not everyone in rapture took adam or could afford it but loads of them endid up getting illd by the loonys

  • @Cladenny oh I see but still if adam were real it would be a nightmare. Unless more people knew about the effects or could at least fight it

  • Music in the bathysphere in the first one

  • Definitely getting this on itunes!

  • lol

  • La mer ... qu'on voit danser ... le long des golfes clairs ... a des reflets d'argent ... la mer, des reflets changeants ... sous la pluie ...

    Bioshock Forever <3

  • this soundtrack cd was not in the special edition box, this is sold seperatly!

  • name of the song form installation screen?? help lol

  • just look up Django Reinhardt. he sounds very similar so i wouldn't be surprised if it was one of his songs

  • o goodie goodie...just what i was looking for ThX = )

  • i hate how this wasn't in bioshock 2, but for some reason how much is that doggie in the window was in both games. "BULLSHIT"-Dr Suchong

  • @NukeForBinLaden24356 I only wanted to hear Dream one time in the game. SADFACE.

  • @NukeForBinLaden24356 Hate that song too lol.

  • @NukeForBinLaden24356 While I respect your point, I think that its absence in 2 made its presence in 1 more significant.

  • @NukeForBinLaden24356 Its in the game, during one loading screen i think or i did hear it i swear, and i just ran away from the record player playing the song Doggie in the window lol.

  • @NukeForBinLaden24356 much of my favorite music from inspired soundtrack

wasnt in game.. like praise the lord and pass the ammunition :-(

  • @NukeForBinLaden24356

I do believe he pronounced it "BURISHIT". Just sayin'... He had a really thick accent.

  • @BLACKIESBOY OOOOH very gud engrish!

  • @NukeForBinLaden24356 It was in there, at the end I think. I'm not sure, don't quote me on that ... but I agree the frequency of that fucking window dog song really grated on me.

  • @NukeForBinLaden24356 actually it was in bioshock 2 when you create your guy for multiplayer in his house there's a record player if you flip through it this song will play but i agree with you this is a great song this was the very first version of beyond the sea bobby darin did a remake of it still this song is great and it goes even since beyond the sea in bioshock it adds more of the creepy-niss lol : D

  • very nice :P

  • I didn't get the deluxe edition :(

  • yes, some nice tracks on this game... :)

  • @00110011000 yes.....nice nice..calm tracks.....while your being brutaley murderd in the backround....
