  • pas de mots juste super super

  • I came across Cochran when i found out the the songs Somethin Else and C'mon Everybody were covered by sid vicious. I like Eddie. i personally think he rocks the shit out of Elvis, and pretty much everybody in that rock n roll era. i listen to pretty much nothing but punk rock (fav band is the Ramones) but Eddie Cochran really impresses me and makes me think of greasers, who i personally think were the original punks. Fuck the beatles and all that hippie shit, this is real rock n roll.

  • @blackserenade24 That was quite a nice comment. lol

  • @blackserenade24 OMG DDUDE!!!! SAME!!!! i used to love the ramones like crazy and was the only thing i listed to!!!! but now this music really changed my like!! GABBA GABBA HEY!!!

    p.s. im 14

  • @GameAssualt GABBA GABBA WE ACCEPT YOU, WE ACCEPT YOU ONE OF US!!! the ramones taught me how to play guitar. if u listen to the song Yea Yea by the ramones, its pretty much a punk rendition of Hallelujah I Love Her So by Eddie Cochran. The dude was totally bad ass. Elvis had NOTHING on Cochran. I mean come on are you really gonna try to compare Devil In Disguise to Summertime Blues? eddie cochran was the king of rock n roll hands down.

    p.s. im 20

  • @Radioatividade1000 well yea bro but so is this kind of rock n roll. that doesnt mean i dont like listening to it. i love the ramones and eddie cochrane all the same man. i got one of eddies vinyl records (HELL YES) and a live cd he did with gene vincent (also HELL YES), and still i have a black flag AND a teen idles (no not pop) tattoo. if any of you guys like eddie or gene, check out Little Bit Of A Whore by Johnny Thunders

  • Eddie And all Rock a Billy+ (Rollers) Never die there just around the corner.

  • Love Elvis. However, you can't really compare these two. Eddie actually wrote some really good material, Elvis didn't write; at least not that I'm aware of.

  • @graveljaw All this blabla about who's writing or not writing!!! And what about this song here? Can't anybody see and hear that this is a Chuck Berry song called HAIL, HAIL, ROCK & ROLL, with the same melody of another Chuck Berry song, NO PARTICULAR PLACE TO GO. What a bunch of ignorants pretending to be professors that I see here. Most of you belong to the Stone Age!

  • @ENACODNOM Hi, this live record of Eddie Cohran was made early 1959. The song is a version of Chuck Berry's SCHOOL DAYS (1957, CHESS 1653). HAIL, HAIL, ROCK & ROLL is only the chorus on this song and the name of a documentary about Chuck Berry made in the 80s. As far as I know, Chuck Berry did not record any song with that name. NO PARTICULAR PLACE TO GO is form 1964 (CHESS 1898). There, Chuck Berry covered his own theme SCHOOL DAYS.

  • Nobody cares to mention this is a cover of Chuck Berry's hit? Another white man stealing a black mans music.

  • I like Eddie's version much more than chuck's and by the way, nobody is stealing anything to anyone, Eddie was just a great performer very much more less known than contemporaries... saddenly.

  • How is it not stealing? Chuck wrote it. Eddie is in the same group as Elvis Presley, Pat Boone, Theresa Brewer, etc. They need to find their own material.

  • Disappointing man: Eddie DID sing and play a lot of his own production!!! As all other rock n roll singers of the time also sang covers that were and still are great rock 'n' roll columns. But he was a self producer and a very great talent. He also overdubbed his guitar playing in most of his recordings. He almost lived in the studio. Don't judge him bad just because he sang some big timeless r'n'r hits such as money honey, school day or sweet lil' sixteen...

  • @srercrcr Eddie wrote a lot of his own songs, these are called covers. They aren't all the same. Hell, get mad at Elvis, he couldn't play guitar or write a song. Elvis was all for looks. In the 50's music didn't matter, it was more about the looks and hair then.

  • @earjams1 Elvis all looks? lol damn listen to the guys incredible vocal range! esp later on in his career or on stage. or how he could put together a tight band like TCB group, if elvis was just about looks he wouldnt of kept going so long

its sad seeing Eddie fans Knock elvis. no reason for it, Eddie could of been just as good but in different ways. sadly we never got to see it

  • @bren85q Well said.

  • @earjams1 That i disagree with completely Elvis had a talent and COULD play the guitar, he had an amazing talent and alot of people loved him like myself now can you deny the fans? Are you saying that Elvis was only for the looks when alot of people LOVED him for voice and preformance? i dont think so, Eddi cochran was amazing but so was Elvis the true King of Rock and Roll.

  • @Britishguy18 Little Richie is the true king of Rock n' Roll. I know a lot of people that sound like Elvis. Though my mistake I actually saw the most untalented piece of shit today. I don't hate Elvis, no he couldn't play guitar. He had people play for him, though he could play the piano. When I mean "most untalented" I meant worst than shit like J Lo, Bieber, etc. A human beatbox. Don't argue with me on Elvis. I already despise the 50's, 70's, and 90's.

  • @Britishguy18 You obviously don't know much about Elvis. I'm from his hometown.

  • @earjams1 I dont care i am a fan he did play guitar not brilliantly but at certian places he did dont tell me what Elvis did you are not a fan are you? i know quite alot of Elvis and alot of Eddie fans well the majorty dont like Elvis and i will argue with you about ELVIS because you claim he is not very good.

  • @Britishguy18 Why do you care so much about my opinion? I don't Elvis's music and I never did. A lot of people don't like his music where i'm from. I'm from Elvis's home town. Who cares, he didn't play guitar and he made covers. Some people liked him and some didn't. It wasn't about guitar, it was his voice. It doesn't mean you have to force your opinion on others. 1950's didn't have that great of music. They could only make their own covers and rarely make songs.

  • @earjams1 I like a good debate on topics if you are not willing to have one or want one then i will not continue but comments here are for sharing opinion (in a peacefull manner) which is one of the reasons i comment.

  • @Britishguy18 Why do you keep bringing this up? I don't like his music and I never did. Why do you care about my opinion? I never didn't like Elvis for the weird sounds he makes in his music. If some rockabilly artist made a good song. I always thought Elvis would ruin that sound. He would make covers of those songs and put the weird noises in there.

  • @earjams1 i will tell you why i keep bringing this up because of the hate comments i dont think i can just leave it there when you insult Elvis even though this is your opinion i just leave it there lol Elvis never ruined a good song he either made it better or he made a good cover.

  • @Britishguy18 Peacefully manner? You keep continueing. How is that peacefull. It's still my opinion and you're not changing it.

  • @earjams1 yes it is very peacefull, i am not insulting or shouting so it makes it peacefull i am mearly replying to what you post if you want to end it then why not say so than to continue offending Elvis. I never said i wanted to change it.

  • @Britishguy18 I'm sorry for making fun of your tunes. I'm sorry if I hurt your taste in music. I never was really interested in Elvis Presley. I know what it's like to hurt my interest in music. One day my brother(a war "hero") forced me to be a hippy(the ones he hates). He dreams of killing me. I'm sorry about hurting hurting your taste musical jam. Elvis isn't bad, not in the ears of others. My brother kept calling me a hippy, and made me confused. I don't understand the military. Sorry.

  • @Britishguy18 I never said I hated Elvis, I just never liked his music.

  • @earjams1 and i never said that you did but you offend his cover's that is why i keep commenting to share an opinion but agian if you want to end it tell me lol.

  • @Britishguy18 I don't like the military, just please be careful. Some people may be suicidal. I don't know why he thinks I like The Beatles. I didn't like them until he made me more "avenging".

  • Like, WOW! Have not heard this before. So this is what an Eddie Cochran concert sounds like! I was 13 when he toured the UK and I heard his records a few years later. My first was "Weekend" on Radio Luxembourg.

  • Hard to imagine I barely knew of Eddie out side of summer time blues.... last few months been like striking a vein of pure gold.... like Beatles his covers are exceptional and his songs are simple, inovative, and pure heart.....

  • Damn cool! 5*

  • YES, YES...its so f.....g GOOD. Great Eddie, my house/God.

  • Think about it: such bad sound and it still works!!!! (great song, great version).

  • tres belle reprise de la chanson de chuck berry =D

  • the king

  • great

  • I got to admit that i like this version even more than chucks.

And it has never been recorded.

I love it so much, it's the biggest shame in music history

  • One of the greatest rock n roll songs sang by one of the greatest rock n rollers ever.

    Long Live Rock 'n' Roll!!!!

    RIP Eddie

  • Great song

    RIP eddie
