@kfaslf depends on where you get them. If you get them from a dirty river like we do on the Northshore (of lake Ponchartrain) you have to purge them. Pour a lot of salt on them when they're alive and they will throw up and sh*t all over the place and get rid of the muddy, contaminated water taste.

Hahaha good times!I went to Las Vegas and ate at this famous 5 star buffet.So you could choose from whatever at different stands right so then I got a plate of Crawfish.Those things were ugly!Ugh..Beady eyes staring at me pleading to not be eaten but I suck the brains out of the head too. Mmmm mmm good! :D I also eat the meat and if you crack the small claws righ there's met in it too ut if you don't crack it right your just pushing the meat into the shell.Making it hard to eat. ;]

Actually, if you really knew how to eat a crawfish the right way you would not have to peel it at all. Just take the head off, squeeze the tail at the and and get the meat out with your teeth. No peeling is needed. Anybody who grew up in Louisiana, Mississippi or Alabama knows this.

Also if you squeeze the crawfish near the base of the tail hard, that tends to separate the meat from the tail, and you end up with more meat than if you just try to pull it out.
