@badasshomie you have to download the software that it came with. then after that get videos that are in AVI. format (if u dont know hoe to convert to AVI. get RealPlayer) and right click and then click "coply to zen v plus" :)
ok well my experience is not to good with this zen. I have had mine for a year now and both the up and down volume button broke. MY brother throws his around and it has not broke. The video feature is not very good, considering the battery runs low after a video. It also freezes sometimes. The software was very good though and is easy to use. This was not a good buy. :(
i tryed to play a video and it permanently froze, until you press reset or let it run out of battery. i held down reset and then everything on was erased and gone except for the actual songs themselves. and every single time i turn it on it "rebuilds the library"

This error is because of the OLED screen. The blue part of the pixel stops working after 37.500 hours of use, while the green and red parts continues working until 155.000 hours. Recently, this error has been fixed, and OLED can be produced with a blue part pixel that lasts just as long as the red and green parts. However, it's not sure, that Creative will produce new models of this Zen V with the fixed screen. I would still recommend it. Just don't buy the blue one. Buy the other ones... :D

I own this item and I must say its terrible compared to the ipod. Don't let these reviews fool you into buying it. Its better to buy and ipod once than buy a Zen V Plus twice. I say this because mine froze quite often and after a while the reset button broke and now its not functional. Spend your money on an ipod or zune, anything but this.
Thanks! Just bought a Memorex version of this device because it has an expandable mini SD slot up to 2gb, but this video makes me want to exchange it. after i go to a song to play it i have to scroll through the whole menu to get to another song. i'm so used to the ipod mini 1st gen.
i just bought one the other day (2GB black and green) and its one of the best mp3 players ive ever owned id say its way better than the ipod but the only thing i cant do is i tried connecting it to my stereo (because theres a usb port hookup) and it says theres no songs but that doesnt matter because i still have an older zen which is the 512MB one so i can manage
it depends if its v or v plus one vplus can hold the videos the cd comes with a video converter so that the player can read your video or movie check your software on the computer it should be in the zen v series media explorer

i had it, and the battery life SUCKED, the backlight isn't useful because we can't a crap outside day light. I got my iPod nano 4gb 3 days ago and i love it !!! When i opened the package, the iPod had battery and i still haven't charged it, the backlight is wonderful, so for all the morons out there who think that the creative is better than the iPod, they needa accept the reality and realize how shitty their mp3 player is.

look for an mp3 encoder that allows u to embed pictures in the coding. I'm a sound engineer/producer and I use a program called soundfordge, it's a sony product. the program does allow you to do this but with it being semi-proffession program the price is quite high. If you have any interest in music production take a look at a program called wavelab 6, this is a state of the art full surround sound audio editor. u can get cracks but if u got the money do buy.
I have 8 GB one (red wheel and silver joystick). What can I say about it? Its better then iPod nano, because of lots of features like FM radio, videos, better battery life, smaller size, 4x more colours on the display etc. Some cons now: iPod has better control (clickwheel still rules), videos after conversion can be 2 times bigger (I converted 522 MB video to... 1,26 GB o.O) and the screen is a little bit too dark (when sun shines through it, it isn't possible to see anything).

anyone have this? I've heard that the headphone jack was a problem, similar to the zen micro. The jack begins loose and you have to fiddle with the headphone to get sound on right and left headphone.

Just upgraded my old 5GB Zen Neeon for a NEW 8GB Zen V Plus... loading time was super quick.

I don't know if it is true anymore but from personal expirience and from what I have read on the web. A lot of people have problems with the headphone jack on their Creative players. FYI

i had it, and the battery life SUCKED, the backlight isn't useful because we can't a crap outside day light. I got my iPod nano 4gb 3 days ago and i love it !!! When i opened the package, the iPod had battery and i still haven't charged it, the backlight is wonderful, so for all the morons out there who think that the creative is better than the iPod, they needa accept the reality and realize how shitty their mp3 player is.

overall it is good, I used to have one then traded it for a Zen Vision M, cause the v plus is great, but the battery life SUX for the 4GB version but is ok on the 2GB one.

1. No it isn't. It is a joystick and it works quite fluent and good. 2. Maximum lenght of the videos depends of your player memory.

Yes you can. But, you can't use these programs, because Creative Zen V Plus supports ONLY uncompressed avi.

look for an mp3 encoder that allows u to embed pictures in the coding. I'm a sound engineer/producer and I use a program called soundfordge, it's a sony product. the program does allow you to do this but with it being semi-proffession program the price is quite high. If you have any interest in music production take a look at a program called wavelab 6, this is a state of the art full surround sound audio editor. u can get cracks but if u got the money do buy.

I have 8 GB one (red wheel and silver joystick). What can I say about it? Its better then iPod nano, because of lots of features like FM radio, videos, better battery life, smaller size, 4x more colours on the display etc. Some cons now: iPod has better control (clickwheel still rules), videos after conversion can be 2 times bigger (I converted 522 MB video to... 1,26 GB o.O) and the screen is a little bit too dark (when sun shines through it, it isn't possible to see anything).

Well, I have my brightness level on 100%. And yes, it is possible (but you must convert it before).

I have two 60-min. videos on my zen, and these ones takes 2,2 GB space. Thats quite big, because my music takes almost 4 gigs, so I have aprox. 1,6 gb free space.I chose Plus version, because of radio and 8 GB, not because of videos. Video function isn't very good, but Zen V Plus still is a one of the bests music player.

Just the v plus but if you really want to watch video and like creative I'd go for the Vision M or Vision W. I have the Vision M and the V plus, both really great.

anyone have this? I've heard that the headphone jack was a problem, similar to the zen micro. The jack begins loose and you have to fiddle with the headphone to get sound on right and left headphone.
Would love to hear from positives and negatives on this. Thinking about getting this unit.

it comes in 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, just like the Ipod Nano.
If you'd like a high capacity video player, there are numerous options including the Toshiba Gigabeat S, Creative Zen Vision M: and the Ipod Video.
