  • 5/8 is the standard seam allowance when sewing. It takes into account for any raveling thet may occur when washing. I have been sewing since 1961.

  • I have to agree...1/2 inch seam allowance is best... you just add 1 inch to every cut... so easy... Also, using 5/16 welt and 1-1/2 strips for pipe, you get a nice 1/2 inch seam allowance tail off the welt to work with...

  • I have used this video numerous times to reupholster furniture. I don't know how to thank you enough for your help!

  • first off, use 1/2 inch seam allowance , makes things WAY easier... Does she actually sew?

maybe she is paying people by the piece, so their confusion from learning from her is helping her end profit...i would never pay her hourly...

  • It is really not that hard this lady is dumb

  • Thank you to the person who put the videos on order, but they don't seem to be complete...this whole series is great except for the mis-numbering.

  • All I can see on the screen is text!

  • Here's the order (based on the existing numbering of the Series, which is wrong.):

    12, 18, 22, 21, 5, 8, 24, 25, 19, 9, 13, 6, 2, 10, 4, 17, 15, 20, 16, 7, 14, 3, 11, 23

  • Where is number 1? Am I crazy?

  • 5/8 strange, you get your self in a muckinf fuddle before you start?

  • Why on earth would you create a 5/8" seam allowance? Why not just have it be 1/2"?? So much easier!
