  • Nice rendering, but the sun moves a bit too quickly, and the starfield behind Mars is a bit too crowded as the camera pans past it. Other than that, amazing job!

  • @blairlikesvoyager See version 4, version 5 is on the way. :D

  • Brilliant work, and Jerry Goldsmith's score is wonderful. Besides, it's The ENTERPRISE---if that's not enough for an ST fan, then they're just beyond help.

  • No matter it being in CGI or the origional film this gives me goosebumps every time I see it

  • yeah, no I understand. I figured it was something like that. still its excellent work. ;-)

  • Dude, your vid's rock! I just wish you wouldn't put your name on the video...I'd love to use shots from them as desktop backgrounds.

  • @Credithelper75 Well, I put it there so people don't claim it as theirs...

  • nitpick nitpick nitpick some people just overdisect an amateur cgi project.... i liked it . its alot better than alot of other cgi projects on youtube.

  • WOW your sun is moving awful fast....U linger too long...GIVE US different angles of the Enterprise....

  • @UFOSPACE1999 Yea, I need to perfect my sun, I hope to get it down pat in my current version, which is version 5...

    Here is Version 4:

As for different angles, I like to stay true to the original... as soon as I start altering angles, etc. it seems too off for me.

  • Awesome work

  • The music of STTMP is really awesome, especially the main theme. It's very inspiring.

  • I came for the music, but the visual was amazing!

  • Nicely done.

  • Total Win!

  • Excellent! Especially the scene where the Enterprise roars into space on impulse power for the first time,as good as the movie itself.

  • @PortVienna80 Thanks.

You should see my latest version of this...

    /watch?v=Mzds7DXT3jA

  • quite a few comments (it is an older vid) so I don't know if any one pointed it out but the ship lurches before the impulse engines ignite. Other than that awesome!! Still 5 stars...lol

  • @archangel72367 Yea, in my v4 of this, I believe I corrected that.

  • My God that's a big ship! I looks absolutely real. I am flabbergasted!

  • VERY WELL DONE!

  • I think German users can use a web proxy to view this.

  • Awesome :)

  • Some of these shots look more realistic than the new "remastered" ones. Hopefully the next time you remake it, you'll be working for Paramount...seriously. I like most of what they did with TOS remastering, but their shots with the Enterprise, Galileo, etc have a woefully fake CGI appearance.

  • Great work! the sequence of the Enterprise passing by the planets was very beautiful!

  • @Darthvander Thanks.

  • That was very good. A few scenes were nearly indistinguishable for the original.

  • @jtkirkfan2002 Thanks.

  • It guess Youtube made you get rid of your original with the movie scenes. Either way I like how you imagine how the ship would look like. At the moment there weren't any space scenes. Great work as all ways!

  • Fantastic. Gave me chills.

  • Wow, special effects sure have come a long way!

  • khm...i luv this video but i have one little remark....in the 23rd century mars is colonised-terraformed...so it looks more like earth

  • @filigrant I didn't know that, interesting, well, next time I remake this, I'll remember that.

  • @CJCA915 Nicely done. Very very good. Thank you for taking the time to make that.

  • @CJCA915 Actually, filigrant is wrong. While it is true that Mars was terraformed, but it still is a red planet. Look up more about it by googling Mars Memory Alpha.

  • @filigrant Where did you see that? The only times we see Mars (We see a glimpse of it in the background whenever Utopia Planitia Star Yards are shown), it looks as it does now. From what I recall, WW3 intervened before any major space exploration could take place and after Conchrane invented Warp, there was no need to terraform Mars.

  • actually in enterprise 22nd century mars was habitable without suits with only a few buildings but they still needed masks. I'm assuming in the 23rd century they don't need masks but they haven't de-redded mars and made more buildings but still not as cosmopolitanish as earth..

  • Magnificent

  • eye laddie i miss the old girl........

  • All they had to to in The Motion Picture was repeat this scene again for the entire movie and it would be the biggest movie EVER

  • @Blopdomia haha.

  • makes me want to watch the motion picture again :)

  • @ciscokitty8 lol.

  • Well done! Simply beautiful!

  • Very nice work my friend, a worthy effort for sure.

Also, serious props on the Earth's position in 1:49 I can see my homeland ^_^

  • Like the last ST vids, this one is GREAT! :)

Too bad I can watch this from Germany only if I use Hotspot Shield, as Sony Entertainment Germany is currently blocking all vids containing what they claim as their music.

Funny enought that all viewers from Austria do not have these restrictions. I tested/proved it with a friend.

  • NICE! Now if only you could get Jupiter's clouds moving :P

I'm about to go watch The Voyage Hoem in 1080p =D

  • @deltanalliance haha, yea, that would be a challenge.

    ok, enjoy.

  • @CJCA915 lol, probably yes

Anyways.... ST:IV IN 1080p looks EVEN BETTER aand is PURE WIN and-- =D

  • Top notch!!

  • @vaasnaad Thanks.

  • can u recreate the first part of the battle between kirk and khan, in wrath of khan, or have u done it already?

  • @viciousiceman The part where Khan asks for Genesis?

  • @CJCA915 Yeah the part before kirk found out that khan was in the reliant and the battle after words

  • @viciousiceman I haven't done that, but thanks for the idea.

    :-)

  • good stuff as usual

  • @viciousiceman haha, thanks.
