  • I just spent my reading week in Montreal, it was a cool place

  • This is the kind of track that makes you look at the stars and contemplate the universe. Notice also how simple it is, yet it completely hypnotises you....

  • everything timeless

  • cool

  • Deep summer.

  • Classic tune, classic album. This is so much more atmospheric, beautiful and memorable than their later stuff.

  • I can remember hearing this album in Fopp in Glasgow when it was first released.

    Haven't looked back since!

  • do something new and original isnt always a decision you decide to make.true talent just flows forth its not something you decide.now just listen to the music fellas, thats why your here :)

  • if the synths are not electronic to you, you're deaf

  • they have their own genre due to mixtures, but the mixtures are still electro

  • they invented their own genre/style. but it's still within the electronic spectrum of music. it's labelled as "electronic/ambient"

  • i don't sleep for almost 4 days and this is the music i hear right now, thank you!

  • Very dark. I like it

  • @Crisgo3d Dark, emotional and complex !!!! Ae style.... LOVE :)

  • btw this track is just orgasmic

  • @JeezoozeChrysler Except this sounds like early Aphex Twin, which at the same time sounded like other artists with some changes. Protip: Nothing is original and everything comes from something else.

  • @JeffEagle12 you're right,in the end they all sound like Namlook

  • you guys should hit up entheogenic, shulman. let me know if you want more.

  • Will anyone come even close to Ae? Even +10yrs from now, will anyone come close,or just replicate? I was in my teens when these 2 changed music forever. I sincerely hope someone does. Calling all music makers!!

  • @grannylauncher dude i agree, amber is masterpiece, and it was mind-changing at its mid-90s.... honestly i can say this album changed my life in some way.....

  • @grannylauncher SEARCH UP TOBACCO SOME REALLLLLYYYY ILL STUFF BUT I DNT WANNA COMPARE AUTECHRE TO THEM

  • @Gymnophoria1

    yeaaaaaaah fucking right.

  • @chewbaccapoopy O_O?

  • @grannylauncher the thing is that Autechre are conceptually original, meaning that they invented their genre....most of the people just copy other genres..i feel very few people have the balls to invent their own thing

  • @JeezoozeChrysler

"i feel very few people have the balls to invent their own thing "

It's often also just a matter of stumbling across something that works. I have created many genres in my day, but nobody liked any of it ;)

  • @JeezoozeChrysler

To "Invent" one's "own thing" is not the same as to invent something -good-.

  • I love their stuff. Autechre's written the best iPod music ever.

  • If anyone is subscribed to the warp records newsletter, they probably got the email about the five ep box set. god that looks awesome, 50 bucks though? it is haunting my mind....

  • @aw5omeFRAZA It does look tempting, but if you do buy it, get it from amazon its a lot cheaper there

  • @aw5omeFRAZA

Wow, thanks! I didn't know it was on amazon. It's like half the price there! Thanks, man!

  • I went to the original live gig these guys played which inspired the naming of this song ... strangely, it is almost dead on the money for the "sound of the city" ominous, european but still in Canada. Cheers.

  • please use this on the next deus ex

  • i guess one of the easiest tracks to understand

  • & the rest of the "Amber" album highly recommended.

  • oh. thanks! luv at the first hearing :D
