  • Sorry, YouTube took the "enters" out so my comment looks more chaotic than I intended.

  • Things I want but can never afford: Moog Etherwave Theremin (okay, that one I could afford) Ondes Martenot (allow a girl a dream, huh ;)) Roland D-50 Roland V-Synth Optigan Minimoog Mellotron M400 or M4000 And all this while I can't read or play a note. List of things I wanted and got: Casio CA-100 Still a looooong way to go. ... "Memotron"? Do you have any experience with those?
  • @RyouRan I can happily sell you a beautifully restored M400, one of many that I have done. It looks and sounds better than a new one ever did when it came from the factory. You can check of my restoration video to see an example of my work.

  • Wow ! such a nice and frenetic part !

and i love the Mellotron tone!

Dan Britton continuos to show his incredible talent!

  • Sounds like Kansas! btw you know where i could find a mellotron?

  • I've managed to quiet the key clicking. It never came through on the recordings, obviously. Brilliance in a box, the M4000.

  • Kean's (sic)

    sounds Wobblesque

  • Kean's (sic)

  • Reminds me a little of Dave Keen's solonoid-fired Chamberlin...and even his Birotron. Those things had keystroke action just about as fast an an IBM Selectric II typewriter.

Yet I'll admit when watching the Mellotron Mk2 demo promo towards the end when that guy rakes the back of his fingernails across the keyboard I nearly krapt myself

  • acid

  • amazing machine lol

and you are a very good player too

  • This is (part of?) Miracle Pidgeon from the new Birds and Buildings album

  • @MatthewEK

I think so. I haven't gotten that CD from Dan yet.

  • That is a Streetly M4000. All of the M-400s that come out of my shop are capable of playing that fast.

  • Sweet :)

I don't think i've ever seen anyone play a mellotron that fast before. It seems to have a pretty good action for a electro-mechanical device.
