I had trouble with this too. I'm sure you already figured it out but for others, you put your mouse at the top of the screen and wait a few seconds

this might seem like a dumb question, but how did you get the pass to come up to get past the guard? I've tried everything!! haha

@smashyourtelly You SHOULD start with it in your inventory already. They technically give it to you in the opening cinematic.
