One of their cds. By the way not all of their songs are copy cats. They are a good band if you like shock rock, manson stuff. They are not gothic though.
Nightwish, Cradle of Filth, Virgin Black(a christian band) are examples of gothic metal. again Manson is not gothic. he is shock rock.
R&D is more gothic than Nightwish, who isnt goth. Evanescence isn't gothic either. Nor is Cradle of Filth. They are all commercialized wanna be gothic. Virgin Black is more operatic doom with some symphonic influence. What makes R&D shock rock?
Too many labels and genres were unecessarily bithed in the 70s and 80s. By the time the 90s hit we were swimming in a melting-pot of musical and fashion genres. No one can ever agree what is what, and it was always so stupid to me. I sported libs, studded jackets, and tight bondage pants back in the day. Most classified me as punk, and did I. To me, Goth is everything punk is, but darker, and more tormented. It was like metal and punk had a baby, born in a ward for the criminally insane.
