  • I´m a western Taoist but I respect true religions of peace, thanks for sharing this !

  • So people are free to choose a religion as long as it's Hindu? Religion is like a plague on humanity. I imagine God is against religion himself.

  • syriac or assyrian are same people with a same meaning its The Greeks called the Assyrian by the name Syrian or Syriac dropping the A

  • India dont need any christian

    please leave our india

  • @BibleExposer Shut up FOOLISH Northi........

  • @BibleExposer .. people like you are the only reason behing world wars......guys like you will always promote hatred.....are u uncivilized....??? r u nt educated......

  • @BibleExposer I took a little peek at your page or whatever, if you have any fear of God, stop what you are doing, you have "zeal without knowledge"

  • @BibleExposer I post on you're videos to show you what I mean, but you often pull scripture out of its context and misrepresent things like icons in the video you said which one is your God, well, Jesus said to Phillip you have seen me you have seen the Father, obviously from numerous scripture and church history and oral tradition Jesus is God, so we have icons because we are representing God as he has appeared to us, iconography is well thought out and has been developed a long time

  • @BibleExposer yeah, but christianity may have begun in jerusalem but then went to India then spread out to Greece, Rome, then outward to other nations. The world needs Christ or do you need muslims to come and destroy you because Christians do not

  • @BibleExposer Piss off hater

  • @BibleExposer we are here for thousands of years ,even before Muslims.

  • @BibleExposer They need Christ.

  • Christian proccessions are vital, it's not just Hindu :)

  • To Dominic and all narrow minded Christians and Hindus

    John 14:2

    New International Version (©1984)

"In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you." This is a teaching of tolerance, not intolerance. He was saying this to the Jews. For other people there are other ways to these "rooms" Read your bible so that YOU may become THE GOSPEL, not to find faults where there are none.

  • Wait a minute my intention isn't to offend anyone, you guys. I love India (that includes Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Jains, etc). NONETHELESS, as Christians, remember that our mission is to teach people of Christ's love and message of Salvation, that's all. India has great potential of being a powerful God-fearing country if we step our game up. It's not fair that we keep the message of salvation to ourselves. The purpose is to share it with others. That's all I said.

  • Hi you guys. I'm a Christian. I'm not indian, I'm actually hispanic. You know, it's kinda bugging me how you guys are arguing about different doctrines. We are ALL brothers and sisters in Christ. My suggestion is that INSTEAD of arguing about differences in churches, use that anger to fight off paganism in India and have the nation of India come to the feet of Christ. Pray and fight for your country in Jesus' name and DECLARE that your India will succumb to the Lord!

    Blessings!

  • @NJDominicana246 Our India is a Secular Democratic Country.

Hundreds of religions are here, we are one of them, thats enough for us because we love our Country more than our Religion.

  • @arunmathew1982 Christ should always come first in your life. A person's country is a very important part of who they are but if you admit to following Christ, He should always come first. Before your country, before your loved ones and before yourself.

  • @NJDominicana246 Think about: Iisus Hristos (Jesus Hrist) is one, so the TRUTH is ONE. How about are many church that they name himself Cristian but they are teachings different things? Jesus Hrist is ONE and one is the real Cristian church, who remained unchanged for 2000 years. Depends on you if you want to find it. God bless you.

  • @Scipione01 I agree. There's a praise that says "I don't care what label you may wear, if you believe in Jesus, you belong with me, the bond we share is all I care to see".

  • @NJDominicana246 Paul saya that all are united in chirist, only one doctrine that is Jesus Christ, rest all false prophets ..

  • @NJDominicana246 LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR........hope we get that right one of these days

  • What are you saying? That I have something against people of other faiths? If that's what you think, let me inform you that you are so incredibly wrong.

  • @NJDominicana246 ..India is secular democratic republic and has given rights to all religions..You wont understand these values. You can always think about missionaries and all.People like you are the reason for holocaust...what will u feel if someone says that hispanic ppl need to go and they are insane...so plz dont try to spread the venom of communalism and narrowmindedness

  • @XXXMuSiCMAnIaXXXI Excuse me but you are seriously taking what I said out of context. Read closely and interpret before judging me. I'm not being narrow-minded but the IDEA of us being DOWN here is to preach the gospel to every living creature. I RESPECT EVERY SINGLE PERSON REGARDLESS OF BELIEF, RACE OR CREED so KNOW that. I'm no extremist so get that very clear in your head. I respect Hindus, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, etc so read with caution and respect others as you'd want to be respected.

  • @NJDominicana246 ..well i can clearly see that you are not respecting others the way you want to be respected...................dont forget that christ and christianity isnt a western religion either... itz basically a middle eastern religion..

  • @XXXMuSiCMAnIaXXXI Wait a minute, how am I disrespecting anyone? You're not making any sense. I am not writing with an intention to make anyone feel bad or disrespected and I am FULLY aware that Christianity originated in the east. I know better than to disrespect others beliefs but I also know well enough to speak of mine without hurting other people's feelings. So if you feel that I have offended you, I'm very sorry but the truth is that the one offending the other is you towards me...

  • Hi Dominic. I am a Christian and Indian. Christianity came to India 2000 years ago, by St. Thomas; when the whole of Europe was still in the Dark ages. Christianity took its roots in India, because the Hindu ruling class patronised the religion. The arguments that happens in all churches are by new converts and upstarts. This is inevitable. A Hindu religion is not pagan, but an all inclusive HOLY with a highly philosophical outlook. Salvation is not only through Christ. Read John 14:2.

  • @vailixi9 I wish there were more Christians like you. Thank you for your support. Even though I'm an Arya Samaj Hindu, I grew up embracing some Protestant traditions since I come from an interfaith family of Hindus and Christians. I'm glad that you're taking the time to interpret the Bible carefully. I respect it as much as I respect our Vedas.

  • @NJDominicana246 I really agree with you wat you are trying to say, I am a telugu protestant Christian from Andhra Pradesh and our aim is to spread the gospel of Jesus...but there are some stupid Christian communities in India who dont know how to behave like a real true Christ believer. There are many ppl in India who dont know the Love of Jesus and there is huge revival & thirst for knowing Jesus here in India and many ppl are comin 2 christ like never before but it is quite slow.

  • @NJDominicana246 Yes there is a lot of Paganism in India..there are ppl in India who dont want to believe in Christ but there also ppl in India who are thirsting to know Jesus. And God is doing great miracles, the only thing is that ppl need to divide God and religion...there is lot of difference in being religious and other thing is being in a relationship with God. Religion is man made thing...Jesus never created any religion but his ppl have created different communities and sects.

  • @NJDominicana246 we need to become one in Christ.. There are some Christian communities in India such as syrian christians, catholics who are religious but wat will profit them in being religious?...God doesnt want you to be religious but he wants you to love him. That is what the bible says but still this has not entered into their minds of many of these ppl, they need to establish the love not the religion.

  • @TheNemanja20 THANK YOU! Finally someone that got my point! My point is not to judge. One person sent me a comment saying that they put their country over their beliefs. I'm sorry but NOTHING and NO ONE should come before God and saying things like that says a lot about their spiritual priorities. The Bible shows that Christ wants us to go out and preach the Gospel to every living creature and India is a beautiful country with a NEED to know about Christ and His love for them.

  • @thenemanja20 And what worries me particularly is the denominations of Christianity that have their hearts set on religious rituals and paradigms that will get them NO WHERE in growth with Christ. Christianity is not meant to be a label but a lifestyle with the goal to have an ever growing relationship with the Savior of mankind. It's mean to be a lifestyle of love and commitment to worship and the Gospel, not a religion.

  • They don't mix Hinduism with Christianity nor worship Hindu deities. Their style of worship only resembles how Hindus pray, sing, and celebrate. Syrian Indian Christians are Christ-centered only. I know many Christians that are tolerant of other religions because they don't interpret the Bible too literally like you ultra-conservative Christians do when you claim that we're not worthy of salvation. I'm an Arya Samaj Hindu and I'd appreciate if you could understand our culture and faiths better.

  • @IcedCoffee81 I never said it was a mix of Hinduism and Christianity. And I'm sorry but with all due respect, you have not a single right to call me intolerant when that is the LAST thing I consider myself to be. I KNOW what I believe in and I believe in a message of love and salvation and my hope is to share that message with others, not force a belief on them like an extremist. I wish you'd understand where I stand on this because you clearly are taking this to an unnecessary level.

  • @thenemanja20 I am very glad I have response from someone who understands the need for spiritual enlivenment in India and I'm glad to hear that although it is slow, it's happening. God has a powerful purpose in your life and in your country and I hope to help be a part of that very soon. God bless you and I hope that His Holy Spirit uses you powerfully for the cause of Christ!

  • @NJDominicana246 Oh you´re so wrong, fighting other truly peaceful religions will not help spread your message but only show how fundamentalistic and tyrannical you are by saying this. Religious call is something that must come from the inside, not by violent convertions or even psychological pressure of dogmatic proselityzing. You only breed more disharmony and even lower yourself to the level of muslim fundamentalists.

  • @Gwynsek Ok, you know what, I am just about finished here. This is getting ridiculous. You all act as if I'm some tyrannical Christian fundamentalist and you don't even know me. Seriously, give me a BREAK. All I said was that I want India to know Christ, not force them into Christianity at gunpoint. If anything, Christians and missionaries are persecuted incessantly in several parts of India for NO GOOD reason... just because extremists put tradition before coexistence...

  • @NJDominicana246 Well,I´m glad cause you sounded quite ridiculous to me when you talk about spiritual salvation by your master as if it were the only true and valid path,so bye bye

  • @Gwynsek Ok. One: I AM a Christian (and CERTAINLY proud of it) but I am not tyrannical or dogmatic. Two: Christ IS the only way to the Father, but of course, as condescending as you may take it, I wouldn't expect you to want to understand that. and Three: Of course I sound ridiculous to you, the Bible says that the Gospel is insanity to those who walk without Christ. Find something else to do instead of insulting a perfect stranger whose life you know NOTHING about.

  • @NJDominicana246 Oh I do have better things to do than argue with someone blindfolded by dogmatic ideas (Christ IS the only way to the Father, lololol) and still denies it blattantly ! Bye sugar

  • @Gwynsek Mhmm, yeah, ok. Have a nice day... peace.

  • @studofseattle Oh really! You heard like that......

That is the problem for your state’s Education System,

You ‘must’ improve your General Knowledge mate.....

And how’s the life in America?

    Is that HINDU NATION?

    Lol

    AND

    We don’t need any M0#her Fu(k3rs Certificate....

  • Very Interesting. What I had heard was that, until 200 A.D. there were no christinas. So it's a lie that, St. Thomas came here at 52AD. He practised black magic to convert Namboodiri Bhramins to Christinaity. So, he is another form of intruder like the racist Britishers and others. I have heard stories of Portugese throwing masses of beef on the Bhramins in Konkan coast to convert them to Christians. It's pity for us to follow these religions which are jazzy and outward and kind of not great :).

  • @studofseattle Oral tradition in the ancient world was better than a patent today brah

  • The so called HINDUISM was really planted in Kerala only after the 8 th century AD, after the 100 year war ( Noottandu Yudham) between Cheras and Cholas. It was followed by the emergence of caste system and Brahmin's Supremacy. So we cannot come to a conclusion that the Christians in Kerala were Hindus. On the other hand, It is proved that Buddhism was a very strong religion in Kerala at the time when St.Thomas came to Kerala. Still it is clear that Christian churche s are called 'Palli'.

  • @labylals Ya...

I know 'that part' of Kerala history......

  • @labylals ..well..U cannot define hinduism....the beliefs of native people which is still reflected in folk culture is well absorbed into hinduism....

  • well done Indians from your Syriac-Iraqi brother.

Remember that Syriac was the language of Christ so we thank you for following Syriac Christianity (whether it be orthodox or catholic) BASIMA RABA!

The first christians where Syriac christians!! so you are following the oldest christian rite in the world.

BUT I ASK INDIANS TO SPEAK OUT FOR THE SYRIACS/CHALDEANS AND ASSYRIANS IN IRAQ WHO ARE DIEING BECAUSE WE CAN'T IN OUR HOME COUNTRY!!!!

Shobho Labo Labro Wal Roho Kadisho.

  • @Rafdaganga , We know the pathetic circumstances the Christians in Iraq and Pakistan go through. We always do pray for you and whenever get an opportunity speak out for you. But we are also minority in our Mother Country. Sometimes our minority rights are also at stake. We shall strengthen each other in our prayers.

  • watch?v=RbuEhwselE0

This movie should be watched by all especially indian christians who dont even know about christian history.

Even a muslim sikh Buddhist from europe know more about christianity than any indian christian.

  • @GrandmasterTigerfist Listen you dumbass, we have nothing to do with the Romans or Greeks. Our ancestors were Jews that came to this land called Kerala centuries before Christ . Jews were the first Christians not some pagan worshipers who converted. St. Thomas the Apostle is our Patriarch, who converted the Jews to Christianity in Kerala in AD 52. You better do some research on the Syrian Christians of Kerala buddy because you obviously shown that you know nothing about Christianity.

  • @BanditTony23

What i know about christianity is that under the banner of christians most of the holocaust worldwide have taken place Buddhists are nothing compared to the mass slaughter of native americans which was done by christians. And you if you as a jew want to say that Buddhists or sikhs are bigger terrorist then im sorry for you.

  • @BanditTony23 actually only the knanaya are descended of Jews the rest of the Syrian Christians are just Brahmin converts that intermixed with native Indians

  • @betheman002 Go to nasrani.net and read some of those articles and comments. You guys don't have any Semitic DNA in your community. The Knanayas are mostly Indo-European in DNA, so you people can't be Jewish/Hebrew. Why is it that more Nasranis outside the Knanaya community carry the Cohen and Levi Modal Haplotypes?

  • @JJMATHIAS23 wait...... so you saying that people who intermarried somehow have more jewish dna thatn us?

i dont believe that for a second!

  • @betheman002 This Knanaya thing is a myth. There is no direct evidence before the 15th century of any Knanaya community. No one really knows who Thomas of Cana was. There were many Aramean Nestorians and Persian Nestorians that migrated to Kerala, so Thomas of Cana might have been one of those people. The other Nestorians are well documented due to the copper plates, but not Thomas of Cana. You people are most likely Jacobites that split from the other Nasranis.

  • @JJMATHIAS23 there is evidence, the copper plates and 72 privelages

  • @betheman002 Just go to nasrani.net and read some of those articles and comments. There are many articles on the Knanaya community. You can also post questions and the experts on the website will answer it. It is a lot easier than me arguing with you.

  • @GrandmasterTigerfist Yeah, everyone knows Islam, Sikhism, Buddhism are the worst religions in the world, you're all a bunch of terrorists who are are delusional. How the heck would you think terrorists know more about Christianity than one of the oldest Christians? We don't need you posting your nonsense on this video you terrorist.

  • @BanditTony23

Christians have killed more people in the name of their religion than Buddhists and sikhs togheter.

  • @GrandmasterTigerfist Of course there has been many religious wars, but the Syrian Christians are a peaceful, kind, loving people. We are totally different from European and American Christians, our traditions are very different because we follow the Orthodox tradition. We are primarily located in the Middle East and the state of Kerala, India.

  • @GrandmasterTigerfist Actually the Syrian Christians are persecuted in the Middle East because of their faith. I'm from Kerala, India and we are blessed to have people of different religious backgrounds. We have Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Jews, and other religions living in peace with each other for thousands of years. Where else can you find a church, mosque, and temple built right next to each other? We treat each other like brothers and sisters and are all the same.

  • @GrandmasterTigerfist ...I dont know whose history you are saying...If you are saying about history of popes..then that is none of our buisness because those arent part of syrian christian's culture....

  • India be glorified forever !!!

  • scribd (dot) com/nb812

  • @crookcrow "We don't need your certificate"

  • thanks for posting

  • It ia really encouraging to know that the eastern Christian traditions are still kept aline along with local tradiitions. It is the acceptance of the diversity within our faith that makes us very unique I guess

  • At 0:16, the the video is saying Kerala christain's tradition to date back 200 years old.But before 2000 years christainity was not even spread to many parts of europe, whole america or middle east.. Because after the Jesus awake, Romans rewrite the bible some years later.

  • St. Thomas the Apostle, arrived at Muziris (Kerala) in AD 52, from Ezion-geber on the Red Sea. The apostle established seven churches in Malabar at Kodungalloor (Muziris), Paravur, Palayoor, Kokkamangalam, Niranam, Chayal (Nilackal) and Kollam.

  • But europiens discovered India some 1400 AD (with the comming of the Vasco da gama), then how come Christainity arrive here 52 AD?

  • By the end of the first century, Christianity had already spread to Rome, India, and major cities in Greece, Asia Minor and Syria.

We Indians are first mate. Don't compare your European Christianity with us. You guys destroyed our churches and customs like Kudum, Poonool etc. but we Syrian Christians are still keeping our (remaining) culture including mangalsutra, pudava.etc.

History of your churches is less than 200. But we are not your part, We are St. Thomas Christians.

  • who said history of church is 200?andwhich christainity are you talking about?/ you follow european christainity, follow pope, follow bible written by european..the how can you seperate these??And when did any church distroyed?

  • @arunmathew1982 And please be a true chriatian rather than be a traditional so called chriatian. Please be aware that, this is end times. And the there is only one God and one mediator between God and men, the Jesus christ. 1.timothy. 2:5.

  • @arunmathew1982

This is certainly true of Western christianity (Catholic and protestant), but not of Orthodox Europe, which suffered as much from the Westerners. The presence of such a church in India since ancient times tells a lot as to the condition of early christianity--as againt protestant "return to bible times" for instance.

  • @arunmathew1982 I'm Brazilian and I am praying to our Lord Jesus Christ to bless you and please multiply. Believing in Christ is the center of life.

  • but u dont follow the teachings of jesus(p.b.u.h).u r the folllowers of idiot santh paul and his follower who changed bible verses and basic rule of religion

  • @zainbadar01 Where Paul and his followers idiots changed the Holy and Sacred word of God?

  • brother they changed the basic rule of religion and the basic rule is there is one God if u read bible u wont find the any single verse where jesus(p.b.u.h) said by himself that i am God or worship me but ull find many times that he said there is one god and i am his messenger.there is many mistakes in bible for instance genesis ch1 v16,17 that"God creates stars to shine earth" and so on .does God can say this illogical verse"by the way plz see every chiristian "an old bible found in palestine"

  • @boyzffuture Thomas the one who didnt believe christ rose from the dead but put his fingures through christs hands then went that far to spread the mesage and was killed in india after building several churches

  • @boyzffuture Europeans didnt discover India in 1400s, they were trying to find a faster route to India to trade. Christoper Columbus was trying to do the same, but found the Americas. Europeans like Greeks and Romans knew India existed, and traded with Indian empires.

  • @boyzffuture

I actually took a class on Eastern Christianity. Many people forget that Christianity is essentially an eastern religion since it comes from the Middle East. These St. Thomas Christians were evangelized to before Christianity had reached many places in western Europe. They trace their Christianity to Apostle Thomas who supposedly came to India 50 AD, ten years after the Crucifixion. By the time of De Gama they would have been bring Catholicism, a different denomination.

  • It's understandable that you're not aware of how the Church (Christianity...THE CHURCH of CHRIST...) spread during the first century. Most Christians today have a sad lack of knowledge. You would need to study the history of Orthodoxy (not Catholic) in the world. Plenty available on the internet, I'm sure. Blessings.

  • amelia airhart's plane crashed in the indian ocean. luckly, the missing piolet, known as amelia, survived the crash by washing ashore on a lakshadweep island. but this was no ordinary island, cus savage canabils, ate her. during the spring of 1938, Travancore prime minister c.p. ramaswami iyer, telegraphed franklin d. roosevelt about the canabalism. The united states president roosevelt with disturbing news, worked with the c.i.a. for the cover up. this is all a c.i.a. cover up!!

  • i love you jesus christ !<3

  • God bless my brothers and sisters in India.

We assyrian thinking everyday of you!

  • Jesus Christ was crucified and he died the same day, he was buried in a grave belonging to Joseph of Arimathea. He was in the grave for three days and He rose from the grave on the third day not like 45 Ad shown in this video clip. Please read the Bible instead of focussing on rituals which lead you away from Christ our savior and God our Father.

  • is a bible printing press........finally Bible,Jesus and christianity cannot be stoped coz they are heavenly not earthly...........i dont why they call me nasarani coz am half syrian and greek and half india

  • cutekanda dued look at the universe u still belev that there is no God....yo nigga a big blast cannot make a universe and keep evething in right place......and u cannot compare scientific facts with God coz God is wav ahead of science coz science is from human brain and God created human beings....and about relegion.....gamalial(jew scholar) said that christanity would stay for another 100 years and 2000 years has passed ......a great scholoar said that bible will be destroyed but now his home

  • lol there is no god. i give religion like 50 more years of existence.

  • cutek, US is #1 country, moneywise, muzzle powerwise, n technologywise.. I live in Florida. I faced 4 major hurricanes in last 5 yrs. US is #1 country, however, I still remeber tht days bro, no scienece couldn't stop tht disaster...even if they could predit b4 the hurricane tht they r goin to have em.N the people were totaly out of life. All science was out! No technology didn't work. Lke hell..1 month.., no matter wht how strong u r , ur country r, ur science r...no one can beat GOD!

  • If the US is the number one country, then why can an Indian write in better english than you can?

Also, why is God a giant hurricane? Why don't you just ask God to stop the hurricane and not kill people. I mean he is all powerful and everything, do hundreds of peope need to die before he is happy?

  • UK or United Kerala has there own natural beauty ang also there natural stench, you can also use it as ammonia. haaaaaack toooooo!

  • If you look in the Ancient Jewish Customs and Rituals, you can see lot of similarities with Hindu rituals such as Deeparadana and Sandya Vandanam. The Basic construction of the hindu Temple and Ancient Churches and Jewish Temple are Based on a Human Laying down head to the east. In the Center the Solar plux is Nila Viliku. seventh Chakra is the thronose.

Now a days Even those priests don't know the Bases. Hebrew Siva = 7, yom Sabath means 7th day. Jewis Rituals has connection with Hindu

    Rituals

  • you know what, this is probably true. what the Vedic scriptures describe and teach has a lot in common with the Torah and Jewish practice in ceremonies and in concepts. the Vedas also refer to a God-Man who will be sacrificed for the remission of sins, and about a sacrificial lamb which will come back to life. there are many fascinating parallels, that is for sure.

  • The source of Hindu scriptures and the source of Jewish scripture would be one if you go back in time around 3000 years. Nazrani means One who is Naazir (Devoted to ?). Syrian was Actualy Suriyani which means sun worshipers Surya=sun. Temple and Church are symbolic Body of man lying on the floor head to the east. Sacrifice is your own Body and bodyly pleasure, pain & Bindings bodely relations. You are spiritual beings desired to come to the earth plane. It takes many life time, see edgar cayce.

  • actually, "Nasrani" comes from the word "Nazareth", the town where the Lord Jesus was from. Christians are sometimes called "Nasrani" by Muslims today. "Nazareth" is itself derived from a Hebrew word meaning "branch", a reference to the title "branch of David", a Messianic name for Jesus appearing in the Jewish scriptures.

  • Nazareth was a small village town did not have any significance those days. Roman Church later made the name significant. There were religious Sect Nazranis. In the Gospel Jesus and Disciples known as Galileans. Ask Muslims, they will tell meaning of Nazrani, which was a old Semetic community did not follow the rules of mundane society. Jesus was Born in Bethlehem and mostly lived in Bethany and in Egypt and traveled to east. reply me to alexpollayil gmail or hotmail will send you more info

  • actually, the Gospels indicate, based upon responses from people to Jesus, that He had been growing up and living in Nazareth until the days of His ministry. you're mistaking the word "Nazareth" with the Essene sect, a sect of Judaism with whom Jesus' teachings and ministry had little in common. e.g. the Essenses were big on purity and segregation, whereas Jesus preached and traveled publically and ate with tax collectors and sinners.

  • Bible has not accounted more than 18 years of Jesus life. If the name "Nazrane" was because Jesus was from "Nazreth",would be "Nazrethani"There are lots of translation and "Ideom" confusion in the Bible due to neither Romans nor Greeks knew the culture. Old testament Samson was "Nazir" from birth that is why no razer used on his body. Jesus was "Naazir" from birth. There were sect / community names, like Roohani, Sooriyani, Nazrani, etc earlier. "Nazir" means one fully devoted to God.

  • a Nazarene can mean one fully consecrated unto God, that is true. for example, Samson in the Old Testament was a Nazarene, but a Nazarene was to adhere to certain very strict rules, and one of them was to consume to wine, and not even grapes. yet the Gospels record Jesus drinking wine on several occasions. Romans and Greeks may not have known the culture very well, but the Jews who wrote three of the four Gospels certainly would have.

  • Preparing for having a child, Samson's mother was instructed not to drink wine and any product from grapes, any thing fermented. All chosen women were to be followed restricted diet and so on. In south-west part of india, state of Kerala, there are Nasraani's very old tradition. I am one of them my Ancestors where Nasraanis (Nasraani Mapla). Jesus fed others does not mean he drunk.. I traveled & researched last 20 years, discuss more send me ur email ID or use mine alexpolayil gmail / hotmail

  • Alex, as a Jew celebrating the Passover feasts multiple times during His life, Jesus would have drunk wine. the Passover (pesach) meal is incomplete without wine, and the account of the last supper in Mark's Gospel records that Jesus and His disciples ("all of them") drank from the wine that Jesus had blessed and offered (Mark 14:23). friend, we've already seen through scripture that Jesus was not an Essene, and neither were His mother, Josef, or aunt and uncle.

  • Jesus did not have any restriction. Bread and Wine were part of every day meals. Stay with your Bible studies and be happy. I can't add any weblink or attachment here, & you are not interested in any information other than what you learned from your Church. You are not hungry enough to digest any thing other than milk provided by the Church authorities. So stay with the Idea that Jesus lived his teenage and early adult life in Nazareth as a Carpenter helping his step father Joseph. I am sorry.

  • if a person were to trust simply what men of authority told them, they would rob themselves of the chance to investigate the Truth for themselves. i came to Christian faith as a skeptic and a universalist, and every thing i've quoted you springs from my own past as a skeptic, and present as a believer. the open doors we have to the Truth about Jesus are the Gospels, history's witness, and a God who is ready and willing to show us the Truth, if we ask Him.

  • You find what you seek. In your prayer ask Lord what is the true story with out any prejudice, he will show you. I must know whom I follow. I searched I found. Our tradition go back to St. Thomas (Mar Thoma). I studied the early christians and eastern church Tradition. Faith with out "understanding" is blind. Skeptics can also be blind. To seek truth one does not need to be in a religios community. If one have an open mind and sincerely seeking truth, will find the truth.

    The source is one.

  • i have, friend. and at the end of the day i trust the Gospel accounts, and my Lord, not neccesarily a church or tradition. God bless you and keep you, in Christ Jesus, His Son.

  • in addtion, there is nothing to indicate that Jesus took a Nazarene vow. the greatest evidence of this is simply the fact that Jesus drank wine on a number of occasions, something utterly off-limits for a man who had taken a Nazarene vow.

  • Joseph, Mother Mary, Zacharia, all these where Essane (Iessani) the sect was ordained by Isaia from the temple of Carmel about 400 years before Jesus. The pronounceation in english all changed the meanings. It is "Nazraani", Jerusalem was actualy "Oorslome" Jesus was "Eashoo"

or "Yeshua" in hebrew all these words has significant meanings "Meekha'el" not Michael,

need to understand the meanings of the names in the Bible in their own language. Eye of the needle and Camel, Sorry for English

  • friend, Yeshua means "God saves" in Hebrew (Matthew 1:21). Zacharias was a temple priest living and serving in public, not an ordained member of a secretive, puritanical sect (Luke 1:5-10). Joseph was a carpenter from the small town of Nazareth, and Mary was a young lady of humble background (Matthew 13:55), (Matthew 2:21-23).
