  • Great video, I'm interested in this model, why a Dillon over a Hornady?

  • love the vids, but im hoping u only got the handguns out to show us, and thats not where u leave them

  • @FreitagsSwag haha, ya, i dont leave my firearms on my garage bench save for cleaning/maintenance. ...actually i dont live there anymore (and dont even have a nice big garage anymore). that has been the reason i havent posted any videos in a while, its hard to do any bulk reloading in my little apartment.

  • How reliable do you find your reloaded ammo? What's the quality like in your opinion?

  • i have actually never experienced a squib, FTF, or FTE from any of my hand loaded ammunition. When i *first* started my .38 spl rounds were a bit light but quickly was remedied by adjusting the loading. I have found the quality of my hand loaded ammunition to be exceptional.

  • That's good to hear man. Thanks for the response. I am considering reloading sometime in the future. I'm impressed with your results. thanks for the info.

  • All Blue theme.

  • how do you check your ammo and could i check for high primers

  • ill be sure to hire the Coen brothers next one.

  • Hey da0173, where's your video?

  • Please link us to the great reloading videos you've made.

  • wow from looking at your channel, you don't have any room to talk. another youtube armchair elitist.

  • mine is too lol

  • weird, uugh, they probably re-encoded it and fucked up the audio. if you watch the HQ version its all in sync (and appears to be the version i originally uploaded).

  • Why is the audio way out of sync for me

  • Could you reload large calibre rounds like .50 bmg or .338 with the same press?

  • You can load .338 {lapua, rem ultra-mag, winchester, etc...} on this machine just fine. for .50bmg you will need a different press. .50bmg dies are 2-1/2 dies which are too large for this press to handle. for .50bmg rounds i would suggest you take a look at some of rcbs excellent equipment.

  • Did you get your press direct from Dillon? Is their any other way?

  • there are many dillon resellers such as my local gun shop, however, i purchased mine direct from the manufacturer.

  • Is the price any different you think? I suppose it would be better to buy direct, right? Very helpful videos BTW.

  • well i doubt a reseller will sell for less than factory direct, so i would think that purchasing direct from dillon would be the best... as long as you want to deal with mail order. on a side note, dillons customer service is top shelf!

  • Try Brian Enos. I have purchased a lot from him.

  • Thanks to your help, and several others, I did finally begin reloading. I should have begun back in the 1970's or 1980's when I was really excited about cowboy firearms, but now I am all excited about AR's, and have begun load development for that platform.

I have had good success so far.

    Thank you!

  • excellent. take care that you dont get 5.56 NATO and .223 remington caseings mixed up and if your reloading the 5.56 cartridge make sure you swadge out those crimped primer pockets.

  • Is the depriming part of the resising die.

  • yup

  • Appreciate the video. I am about to embark

upon my reloading career; mostly .223 / .357 Mag. I just read an article in Shooting magazine

how you can reload .223 using the BRASS from spent .22 LRs. Pretty cool.

  • hows that?

  • Swage brass from .22 LR rounds, utilizing various dies. Weigh for accuracy, then load the cartridge. Only issue MAY be wearing out the bore with brass slugs, but I have heard that is not the case.

Check out the article from Shooting Mag.

  • could you give me the link to that? i cant seem to find the article anywhere.

  • I do not have a link, but the Shooting magazine issue is November of 2007.

Cover Title is... "Is .223 Drying Up? Reload!"

  • crating custom loads is something only an experienced reloader should attempt. be safe and understand the extreme forces the chamber experiences upon firing.

  • nice video, very nicely presented in a down to earth manner. I've been wanting to learn about reloading. I'll still wanna get some books to read but this give a good overview to us newbies.

  • thanks, let me know if you need help with setup or purchasing advice or anything :-p glad you enjoyed.

  • Very helpful, I just bought a Dillon AT500 which is the rl550 stripped down to a turret style. Just starting with reloading, but the At can be upgraded to a full Rl550 progressive someday.

  • just fyi, the 550B is not a true progressive...its just a turret style press. the 650 is their progressive.

  • it is a progressive press in that it performs more than 1 operation at a time (6 per downstroke of the operating handle, and an additional operation when the handle returns and is pressed back). a 650 or 1050 simply auto indexes the shell plate and will automatically position a case for the next operation as well as autoswadge (if applicable) and check for under/double charging.

  • Thanks for making these videos I subscribed.

I've been wondering for a while if I should get into reloading. But wasn't sure if I would know what I was doing. These videos of yours will help me alot.

    Thanks

  • its pretty easy to learn, i would advise you make the investment to purchase quality equipment up front though.

  • you have plenty space....realy nice room

  • haha i do now, but i am in the process of moving and will lose my garage :-( this is one reason that i havent uploaded a new vid in a while.

  • Excellent! Thank you for producing these tutorials!

  • thanks im glad you enjoyed

  • pretty shells

  • heh, i accidentally left a batch in my tumbler over night the other day, they were mirrored.
