Release the original cut of Billy Jack Goes to Washington PLEASE! This re-cut DVD version is just not as good. The Original cut shown at the previews in 76 needs to be saved for all time!

The original cut that was released in 1976 in about a dozen theaters as a test run is gone. Laughlin was storing the original negative and all out takes in a rented film vault at Warner Brothers. When he went to get the negative for a possible re-release Warner's claimed the negative was "missing". It has not turned up since. The VHS and DVD version was made from Laughlin's personal 35mm print that he was showing in his home.
