What is so special about this great song, is the buildup.

It is so rare to take this much time to reach the climax of the song and it also says a lot about, what a great voice Bowie has.

The movie was not good, but this song did lift it up somewhat.

In my opinion people will soon forget the movie, but this song will live on..............

Saw the movie in full for the first time early this morning. To be honest, I never read the original book, but the back of my head says that it's a bit of a travesty to it. However, on its own terms, it's a pretty enjoyable film to watch and Bowie's song has been stuck in my head for the last couple of hours in the most beautiful way possible.

A nice song with the defect of containing the idiotic "I'm an absolute beginner, but I'm absolutely sane." This is a real problem with Bowie. Even in some of his best songs, he contrives bad, puerile lyrics to fit into rhyme or rhythmic structures.

Classic 80s Bowie. Can't help but like this stuff. Sometimes I forget that Bowie started out doing lots of commercial stuff - I mean, Spiders from Mars was a commercial album back in the day. Bowie's 80s stuff just happens to sound like all the dull stuff the 80s had to offer, thus it gets a lot of hate.
