But I believe NASA is probably pretty much on the decline. If they continue it may be mostly unmaned probes and such as that.

To 5lkk, you are probably right about the U.S. still being a dominant part of the space race; the program will get much better when private industry get's involved. I think the main priority is to get a new space shuttle and to make further advaces to the I.N space station, then off to the Moon, but it should be an International effort.

His model was found being duplicated in China only two weeks after production began. Some American's are arrogant, but the fact of the matter is your conuntry does not protect inventors. There are not hundreds - but thousands of pending court cases trying to stop China from producing and selling technology protected by US patents.

If you spend 5 years and 100k developing something and 2 weeks after you market it, someone else uses your patent, wake one minor improvement and makes it better how would you like that? They didn't invest 5 years of their time nor $100k of their own money, all they did was steal your idea and take 5 minutes to make it a tad bit better.
