Cloud Nine nulls the effects of weather at the time, so Hail and Sandstorm don't do damage etc.

Cloud nine negates weather effect, IE sandstorm and hail won't hit that pokemon, and I THINK it nullifies any added weather effects like thunder.

STAB = Same type attack bonus

Basically means, if a pokemon were to use a move type that correspondes to their own type (Let's say a ground type using a ground move), the move would have a 1.5x boost in power, so a move like Earthquake from a Ground type would be 150 as opposed to 100.

Nice match. That Ursaring has quick feet yes? otherwise you could have been in trouble if Plusle turned out to be faster. You know what you are doing though so... probably. I also like your Mismagius. most of the ones I fight are faster ones with calm mind on them. Taunt + Pain split sounds useful as well.

And then only a crit Discharge could have potentially made you loose that match. Depends on how well Ursaring can take special attacks. not that great bare SpD I think. Plusle and Minum can hit hard, allthough this one was alone. Overhazards battles has shown me that, so I have learned to respect them.

I think that Plusle must not have been EV trained in speed, or not been Timid considering Hitmonlee outsped it. Therefore it might be more defensive than offensive, kind of like Overhazard's Minun. Its special attack isn't that high without Plus activated either.

By all means go ahead. It's not exactly like the Cyndaquil line has much in the way of a special movepool, there would be bound to be some overlap regardless.

I'm going to use your schoice specks + eruption strategy. I'll also have Heat wave in case cyndaquil is slower than the opponent. It's always best to make sure someone is ok with what you're doing. I had discussions before with people who were claiming I "copied" their strategies... =_=

I actually decided to give it focus sash instead. It's too fragile to survive any attacks, and it isn't that fast either.. a focus sash is better than choice specs.
