I hit an agressive dog at about 70 yards with a pellet rifle.He yelped and hauled ass.Later I tested it at the same same distance and was shocked the pellets would still stick into plywood pretty deep.Half as deep as 10 yards but still pain full.

I hit an agressive dog at about 70 yards with a pellet rifle.He yelped and hauled ass.Later I tested it at the same same distance and was shocked the pellets would still stick into plywood pretty deep.Half as deep as 10 yards but still pain full.

I feel there could of been better ways to go about it, if the dog was killing the cat then yes, by all means, kill it with a .22cal bullet to the head if thats the case, but up a tree the cats now safe, just frightened. Either way I guess you did what you felt you had to do, and it was your right. at the worst the dog might of got an infection.

Police told me that I had the right to kill it if I felt my pet or girlfriend or kids was in harms way.Neighbor was informed.The dog went to the vet and owner paid the bill and after he called the police he was told if he did not want dog shot again keep it on a chain or in a fence.The owner apologized for the problems and chained the dog-no more problems for years.

Hunting is used to controll the animal population. if there was no hunting, then the animal population would grow to fast and the animals would slowly die. A quick bullet beats slowly dying for sure.
