This is really more of a tutorial on seam bowling. I find the seam is slightly scrambled when I straddle it with the index and middle fingers. I only present it when I put my fingers together on top of the seam. Also, they don't talk about working on the ball, where to present the seam, or how to cock your wrist to angle the seam in the right direction. no one can use this tutorial to learn swing bowling.

wait i dont get it. if u bowl inswing to a right handed batsman, does the shine have to be on the side that goes towards the batsman or the other side?

the shine has to be on the outside. just look at it like this. the shiny side is the light side, and the rough side is the heavy side. So when you bowl, the ball starts 'falling' or 'swinging' towards the rough side, because its heavier. So, if the rough side is facing the batsman, and the shiny facing outside, it will swing into the right-handed batsman. A bit complicated but you'll get it. Good luck!

@27ashwinkumar :go through akrams,s instruction. basically you have to bowl high arm rather than bowling round arm.when i bowl i target in off side area and keep imaginary fielder in legslip postion.target the ball pitch outside and reach the legslip.go through azhar ali video in the you tube

hey buddy first of all if batsman is right handed the shining part of the boll should be on your left so it can inswing when you deliver the inswing boll your hand should end up outside of opposite thigh for example if you bowl with right hand your wrist should be tilted in the line of seam and when you swing your arm your hand should go to left of your left thigh so that you can get bounce on the seam of the boll.

and if you want to outswing to same batsman the shining side of boll should be on your right and the seam of boll should tilted towards offstump so do your wrist too and after swing your arm your hand should go in between your legs

keep practice with that tech. just make sure your seam should go smoothly in same angle you delivering
