@MrImatree try to transfer all of you weight onto your straight arms as you start to duckdive, then what i do is sort of a worm on my board to distribute the weight to the tail. P.S. the biscuit is supposed to be ridden shorter than you are. It will perfom much better.
@tylerzapskim Fine, I'll go kill myself, but I still say he needs a haircut to look like a man and not an Al Merrick whore selling his shiny beads and snake oil in the form of a "biscuit"!
@surfdogdude hes actually more of a free surfer in a sense, he does a couple competitions a year just to get enough money to live on and keep him healthy to surf. as for the biscuit hes not selling it hes experimenting with board design. you obviously dont know much about modern surfers. rob machado isnt some oneil or ripcurl boardshort model
@tylerzapskim Thanks for the info.! You are a very informative individual! What is his name again?? Did you say "Rob Machado"? I have never heard of him. Did he come before, or after, Mark Richards, Nat Young, Duke, Curren, S. Tomson, Horan, Simon Anderson, A.I.,, etc? I haven't ever heard of those guys either!
@TheElectricSalad Yea mate, it is... Personally I have two Al Merrick Boards. First one is the Fishcuit which is the best one I think for ankle-head waves and the THE KSMALL 08. For the small waves I'd go for the Fishcuit!
is a biscuit just an egg? I have a 5,10 egg. It is great fun because it has so much down the line speed. But it is pretty hard to do vertical manouvers on in because it is wide and has a big round tail. Is it easy to go vertical on the biscuit. I was thinking of getting a modern quad fish so it was a bit easier to do off the tops. But eggs are great,. They are pretty good in good waves too. Surfed my 5'10 in head and a half barrels and held in there. Thruster would have been better mind
@jollyperson12 no, if you are riding crap waves get a biscuit great for catching waves i have a 6'0 sparrow surf it alot and what i have learned its only good for perfect days. I gave my local shaper the dimensions relevant to one of these boards
@jollyperson12 A biscuit is a short board. If you are looking for something in small surf a twinnie, biscuit or quad should do the trick. I think quads and twinnies would be easier for hitting the lip, but the biscuit will have more down the line drive. But i have never surfed a biscuit so that might not be true
@jollyperson12 Your crazy. i live and surf in hawaii 300 days a year. the bisuit is amazing for its purpose. its my go to south shore board. anything under just over head or fatter waves overhead....cant compete. not to mention im 6'5" 190 lbs and i ride the 5'6" model. enables me to do wicked downright filthy stuff on smaller waves, and paddles better than any board i own in small waves. it gets 5 thumbs and a vagina up in my book.
hey im a beginner surfer (surfing about a year) and in the market for a new board. i want either the fishcuit, biscuit, flyer1, or flyer 2. What do you think would be the most fun and not to difficult to ride? some advice would be awesome!
don't waste your money at this point. you have to be a little more skilled to ride one of these. if you've only been surfing for a year, stick with something else

@MrImatree you just don't haha i am 6.0 and i am surfing on a 5.4, and still hard to duck dive! haha
ncaliperti 2 weeks ago
@MrImatree sounds like you're better off doing a barrell roll with it like a longboard since it should be ridden a lot smaller.
