FFB is nice but a fireball based spec with torment the weak talent from arc puts out more dps raidwise+ you'll see the same (and higher) crits.. FFB is nice to start with if you have crappy gear

Frostfire is nice with crappy gear? I found that it ran off and left fireball as the gear improved. Been about 3 or 4 months since I played, but unless they did something drastic to make players wanna use fireballs instead of frostfire, I don't know what the hell you're talking about.

If your gear sucks and you pug naxx arcane would probably top totw/Fb, but totw/Fb scales way better with sp and is more mana conserving for longer fights. So when you get decent gear and start on the longer ulduar fights you'll find out that the totw/Fb speced mages with the same gear outdps you with ~750 - 1k+ on most fights.

Lightweave Emboidery if you are tailor (sometimes when u cast a spell u get 250 spellpower ) need to be tailor ...

Use Hotstreak MORE and if u have Sundial Of The Exiled (+590spellpower)

Flask of the Frost Wyrm and if u have shammy/lock in group you get like 3000+ spellpower

FFB Goes 15k :) Try that :)

yeah ffb can do some wacky dmg, but for dps you should pick arcane, simply is better dps wise.. but not as beneficial for the rest of the raid, so if ya the only mage in the guild/raid FFb is the way to go =)

Go to WoWwiki and search mage builds, it should show with other spec, atm im doing the Fire Pov spec, doing around 5k on various bosses, ofc this depends on raid setup.

Thanks. Sometimes you'll see me not use hotstreak right away, thats simply because when he knocks us all up in the air, its nice having an insta pyro available to keep up the dps. I will admit theres probably at least one time I missed hotstreak, lmao.

In my opinion you should always use your hotstreak pyro as soon as you can, simply because in a 25-man you are so buffed that it can many times proc more often than once in an 8 second period (admittedly sometimes less.....ah, the unpredictableness of crit). If you wait, you will lose that second one since you still have the first one in waiting.

i don't know why people are so caught up on clickers, it's actually more of a technique to be a clicker, you have to plan ahead which means you have to think multiple steps ahead of time, like a chess player does, some people have quick fingers, others have smart ones :)

all main moves are keybound. shift+1, shift+2, shift+3, shift+4, shift+5, shift+q, shift+e, shift+r, shift+f, and mouse button 3 are what I use. the only time anyone should click is for a pot or something of that sort. I click for moves off of my mainbar that I don't use all the time.

by the time you hit fireblast and the global cooldown is up, thats just about 2 seconds total. With that 2 seconds you might get maybe a 5k fireblast crit (if it crits) whereas if you wait 1 more measly second you might get a nice 10k+ frostfire bolt crit (even if it doesnt crit, non crits are pretty high). Its just better to skip the fire blast.

yeah but the reason they "need a life" as you put it. is because their numbers are correct and know what they're talking about.

also. a fireblast crit after a FFB crit would cancel out the "ignite" of the FFB and lower your dps considerably because of the ignite munching bug that's been in the game forever.

i have the same spec. when i raid i have around 30% to crit with fire, and around 1650 spell dmg. i use FFB glyph, Molten armor glyph, and imp scorch glyph. i get around 11000 crits with FFB and 13000 when the mob is under 35%. i love this spec. it allows me to keep up with and do better on the dps and dmg output meter than the other mages who have way better gear than me. the other night in naxx, i was doing 3k dps on boss fights. love this spec, nice vid. I start with living bomb and then stack scorchs (the scorch glyph helps a ton) which usually only takes 1 scorch since there are other mages doing it, then you literally just spam Frostfire bolt. Whenever you get hot streak send off an insta pyro, repeat and keep livingbomb/scorchs up. You don't have to be too strict with living bomb, but scorchs are a must.
