If you can, and I know not all marimbas can't, raise the marimba up so that you aren't playing on the bars at an angle. It should give you a better sound and might be more comfortable. BTW, good job at 1:05.
I agree with a lot of people here saying that that is a little low, dude. I think a cheap way to raise a marimba that doesn't have height adjusters is by using some solid wooden bedrisers from like bed bath and beyond. Make sure they're solid, and get some help putting them on evenly so they don't slip.
@3kirmayer18 Not only that, but you would call it 'the hard way' too if your 15,000 dollar marimba frame broke because we fucking loaded it wrong. that's what we learned the hard way. Lastly NO ONE is fucking perfect. Not me, not him, not you, not the fucking president, not fuckin china, NO ONE'S FUCKING PERFECT THERE'S ALWAYS ROOM FOR SOME KIND OF IMPROVEMENT. but an ignorant ass like you wouldn't know that, would they? So shove it and get your fucking head out of your ass and open your eyes
@3kirmayer18 You know what i was just offering some helpful fucking advice as an experienced player. asshole. I bet you don't know a GODDAMN thing about fucking mallets, do you? I bet you're probably just some fucking asshole who spends his fucking time trolling people who try to HELP one another, am i right? Don't get it twisted you dick, i loved the way he played this solo, it was excellent and he is very talented i'm just saying the fucking keyboard is a little low THATS ALL you fucking prick
i really liked, beautifully played! my first piece of advice to you as an experienced mallet player is to lower your wrists to the keys when you play. or maybe from what i'm seeing actually raise your keyboard. you get a much better sound when your mallets are hitting the keys at the right angle. also, try exaggerating the dynamics a little more. lastly, don't haul that marimba around in a truck with that frame!!! lol, trust me, me and my band mates learned that the hard way.
Nice job! One area you should improve though is your dynamics. Although for the most part you do a good job of changing volume, you should try to make your Forte and Fortissimo louder.
wrong rhythm in the first few measures. Also in the last few of the second phrase. Check your music and work it one hand at a time.

Wrong notes at least at 1:20 its G-C instead of A-D with the right hand when you play Bb with the left.

hey bro you should try taking the tempo up in certain places. it gives it a cooler feel.
1:20 I heard a friend do it on that section and come back down...sounds real good. great job.
