I left Victorville in 2000, saw first hand what happened. In the 70's Victorville was a charming little desert community, then it turned into a mexican/negro infested shit hole.

Same thing happened to my hometown of Inglewood in the 60's when I left.

I disagree about HOAs. Those dictatorettes are always looking for something to nitpick you to death about and cull fines for. With a housing politburo, aka HOA, you don't have any freedom or very little in terms of what you can/cannot do with your private property.

But then, that's why living in a sardine can subdivision, like was shown here, is anathema to me. If at all possible, it's always best to get a large property lot out away from the urban sprawl and have much more leeway and freedom.
