  • Apart from the basic theme of wanting somebody else's guy, the 2 songs don't sound very alike. You Belong To Me's vocals are extremely catchy compared to the more intellectual Saving Jane song. That's why one song became a worldwide hit and the other has a smaller cult following. I can take tons of songs and insert them into others like Saving Jane did here. That's just because chord groupings that sound good together are limited. Both songs are good depending on your taste.
