  • @conical187 he said he got 40 steaks for $160. that's $4 per 8oz steak of fillet mignon. the meat that goes into a big mac probably costs mcdonalds 50 cents. if you compare the costs, the guy buying the big mac is is saving maybe 50cents? big mac = lazy not cheap

  • Come on ! I bet it's a really good steak (Filet Mignon) but it can'y be the best if you don't sear it and caramelize all the exterior. But good recipe, I would only sear it and finish it in the oven. And never forget to let the meat rest a least 5 min. before serving it.... Other than that great job

  • I've never seen such a big filet. It looks like feed lot beef, full of fat, big and inexpensive. It's bette to buy meat from animals that live free and eat pasture instead of grains, get no antibiotics. It's more expensive, but you just eat less of it, which makes it healthier to the square exponent.
