This was really amazing. I never thought of Light maybe atoning for his sins, and the animation at the end where you changed "Death Note" to "The Atoned" was some of the most amazing animation I've ever seen in an AMV. Very, very well done, Chui-san ^-^

Just.... Everything was amazing. The concept is incredible, the backwards animation to the music fit SOOOO perfectly, and it wasn't awkward. The quick flashes in the background didn't seem forced like they usually do, and the ending... Ohhh.... I have goosebumps, even just from the walking back, and then the wonderful anagram play... you my friend, are amazing.

@salidan1 no, it doesn't. if the person is completely unwilling to change then who do you help by keeping those people around, they'll just hurt more innocent people because they find it fun, they want to, because they can. or maybe they just don't care. i'm glad light became kira. what do you think would have happened to that girl in the first episode he had not acted, she would have been raped.
I think this video puts out a good message, shit happens in life and some times you end up being the cause of it, but we can all atone of what ever crimes we committed. As long as we can learn from our mistakes we will become the better man.

This video was freaking awe inspiring. I make AMVs myself, even if I don't have any worth watching on my page. I saw it during closing ceremonies. I wanted to enter the contest myself, but after the crap I've been through for nothing at past cons I just said screw it.

When did they play the amvs? My friend and I waited until 1130 and then they told us they had to cancel it and the kicked everyone out of the room. Awesome vid btw. I've loved this band since high school. (quite a long time ago for me.) and it goes very nicely with the video. Did you know it was actually written by Coldplay's Chris Martin. Fun fact. ^^
They played them Friday night too. The Saturday night showing got cancelled because the AMV crew didn't know they were on right after the masquerade. Oh well.
The song you're thinking of is Gravity, I think... Ashes was written by only Danny McNamara... Gravity was the one that Chris Martin "gave" to Embrace because he thought they sounded better playing it.
I actually missed seeing the AMV's at this year's Ohayo...and now I'm sad I did! This is absolutely BRILLIANT both in execution and concept and it actually had me tearing up toward the end thank you for reminding me what AMV's SHOULD be
