@homeapplause The wet wall is intact. The cardboard is to focus the heat for drying the wet wall faster. By focusing the heat the wall hit much higher temperatures. Wall drying takes less time with higher heat. The water damage restoration is accomplished with no demolition, and minimal or no repair costs to fix the damage.
