Calgary lost money? LOL. Yeah the *CITY GOVERNMENT* of Calgary lost money, at least in the short run. But the private hotels, entertainment, restaurants, etc. made profits that blew away that that loss, and everybody benefited because that money kept getting spent in their local economy.
Everybody knows that hosting the Olympics (or opening a new sports stadium) is a subsidy that ends up being good for the city. That's why so many cities want it.
I am disgusted with the antics of the POTUS & his wife.
Do YOU know the background behind the Chicago 2016 bid? Do you know how many Chicago Scumbag Slum-Lords (Rezko, Jarrett, et al) how stand to profit $BILLIONS at (That's us!) Taxpayers expense? Do you know many people are living in third world conditions because of these Scum?
