I Was experimenting now just 5mins ago I made a test with 60gKNO3/40g Icing sugar I made a paper tube aluminium foil nozzle and taped it together and it was really fast. I didnt put wings on it or anything just the rocket motor. It flew away xD

what do you mean when you say that a hole is drilled from the bottom to the top?? If the fuel is just a powdered mixture you can't make a hole along the engine.

just a possible ignitor suggestion- if you attach your ignitor wires to a small piece of steel wool instead of a match and a wire strand, it ignites when you run a current through it, and could just use a 9 volt battery to do it instead of such a large battery. as people might not have those at home.

@TheSkaterGuitar Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) and Salt Peter are the same thing ^^ Not too sure of what you're asking but it should work even if you're using potassium nitrate from a plants stuff, though it might suffer a little bit performance wise. Else specify your 'other chemicals' for a rep.

Weird gastronomy ^^, you can cook it or throw it in fire, it will just burn, KNO3 only acts as some sort of a catalyst, speeding the decomposition/oxidation rate of organic materials, here sugar. It's not really explosive. Here in Mauritius you could buy that at any chemistry store as rules on that aren't too rude. I can't guarantee the same wherever you are now. Secondary Schools may help you find such stores. Else eBay also has that I think.

to get Kno3 go to menards buy stump remover grind it in a grinder very fine grind the suger too in a blinder, but not together, only do half the bottle at a time a half pound, it not dangerous to pund on the fuel ive hit it with a two pound hammer and steel rod realey hard its safe,

sick! the cat litter nozzle is a good idea. only negative hing is your Potassium nitrate/ sugar mix is virtually the same as one i use for smokebombs. kinda like a big trail to u that says "arrest me". and props for the improvised ignitor

But if you melt it, you have the advantage to get a higher density and therefore more fuel in the burning chamber - and a longer range. But if you wanna melt it, I advice to use sorbitol instead of sugar. It cost a little more, but has a much lower melting point so it's safer to melt. But nice rocket - even with rammed fuel quiet powerful! Better than ramming: use a hydraulic press build from a car jack.

I think you're right, but this rocket was made by stamping/ramming the mixture.

The advantage op stamping is that it doesn't take a lot of time and still produces a nice rocket!

Toffee + crushed peanuts + nitrous oxide + powder aluminium = better fuel, key, P=Peanuts, T=Toffee, PA=Powder Aluminium, N=Nitrous oxide, (Laughing Gas to you and me). Mix P+PA+T Then let the N flow through tube Rocket after ignition Dangerous don't say I din't warn you. Stay 20 - 25 Feat away from rocket. Oh I forgot bigger tube.
