If it's all just debris flying around behind the shuttle in some thruster wake then how do you account for the objects that come to a complete stop while others are still wizing aorund. If there is a wake from thrusters firing then objects stopping completely while others continue to move would not be possible. Question: As far as I understand it the bright line is understood to be the tether stretching 12 miles across space. If this is the case then it's also at least half a mile wide (close-ups). Is that a fact? I'm not sure viewers aren't misinterpreting the picture, I'm guessing only a short end segment is visible which could hugely reduce the scale and distance of everything and bring ice/debris back into the equation. I'm yet to make my mind up but I feel something's off with the dimensions.
