One thing that wasn't mentioned that would make this much much easier is:

Every camera has an "auto-white balance" and "auto-brightness" setting. TURN THOSE OFF and you won't have to adjust the colour and brightness if you're doing it indoors in a controlled lighting environment.

instead of using the track motion all the time you can just turn off "Stretch to fill frame" in the Event Pan/Crop window. I have the pro version, but I can hardly imagine that this function is not available in other versions.

Hey there. I'm having some problem with this Cloning thing. I'm trying to do about the same thing to get the hang of it (with only 2 me's tho coz I don't need 3). I do it the same way as yo udo (with the pro thing) and it works. But, both of them dissapears alternatively during some frames , like let's say there's 5 frames, 1st: they both there, 2nd frames someone dissapears, 3rd everyone there, 4th the other one dissapears, and 5th everyone is there.. do you have an idea what the problem is?

@CardMadMonster You don't need to use any masking at all; film one shot then another in front of a greenscreen. Chroma key the greenscreen video.

Just to be clear, we can't move out of the part that was masked right? For example your clone on your right moving over next the clone on the left of the chair. It's probably common sense but I hope you can answer.
