@gtyt38 Players were playing with natural fiber baseballs that used to disintegrate after a few hits. It's science that allows modern baseball to exist, fool.
A continuous, amorphous substance whose molecules move freely past one another and that has the tendency to assume the shape of its container; a liquid or gas."
@dendro80 They learn it from someone. That doesn't mean they understand it. They know what to DO, not why it happens. Maybe they understand more spin, more break, but they don't know how much break they are going to get. They know how much break their AVERAGE curveball gets, so they react to it.
@KelllyIsBelly You're a retard. Even if I am in an argument with Dendro, you are just a retard.
I don't understand the struggle to have proper grammar. If you had proper grammar, you'd feel the want to use it. Why is it so much harder to use good grammar, and a few extra characters to add in punctuation?
@dendro80 not really. They learned these things from guys who learned them from someone else, for the most part. Sure everyone knows why a curveball breaks, but i'm pretty sure not very many major league pitchers know that there curveball is going to break a certain amount if they do a certain thing to do give it a certain spin. They just know there pitches and attempt to throw it the same everytime.
fucking idiots. The term opticial illusion when speaking of a curveball has gone way too far. What they mean by it's an illusion is it's supposed to have the illusion of being a strike until it breaks out of the zone, OR its supposed to have the illusion of being a ball until it breaks into the zone.
All they had to do was ask an outfielder. A hard hit ball with topspin is gonna "break" downwards pretty quick where one with backspin is gonna "sail" more than it normally would. Throw in some sideways spin and you get those annoying ones that just keep moving away from you as you chase them. Of course spin and velocity affect a ball's trajectory. Don't get me started on those with no spin...stupid unpredictable knuckle balls...lol
thats the thing amaricans dont give a shit about all this schience cus there so fucking dumb acrew alot of obice amaricans look at the science more often
@dmytrocool how are you gonna say americans don't know science when american pitchers are better at controlling their pitches better then any other country. Every pitcher knows about air flow and what makes a ball curve etc.
@JGermStudios thats not science. Sure they know how to do it, it doesn't mean they understand it. Most hitters with the best swings with the best rotational mechanics and physics don't know WHAT it is they're doing to apply the most forces to the ball and create the most batspeed. They know silly things like, the mental things coaches can tell you, but they can't break down the physics.
@punchInTheOvary The term fluid refers to a liquid or a gas, which are deformable. And it isn't very accurate to call Air a fluid, it is more or a mixture.
if you cut al the stitches on a ball the cover will come off right? why did he say its not just for decoration lol xD or the stitches dotn hold the cover???
