I can't exactly tell how Akuro in Okamiden is related to yami in Okami. At parts of the game it says that Yami was Akuro's vessel, and at other times it says he is the heir of darkness after yami. I'm thinking that Akuro was born FROM yami (vessel doesn't always mean possession, it can mean bearer or where something was as it was being born.), plus it also said in the moon tribes computers that yami split into 5 parts after being owned by ammy, so maybe Akuro is one of the parts?

@Doomed100 Definately Yami, he was able to take down the entire celestial race despite being some kind of mutated salmon. Akuro manipulated him, you wouldn't exactly need to be more powerful than something to take control/manipulate it. It just takes a brilliant technique.

Please, people, give Okamiden chance. It really picks up halfway through, and its a nice sigh of relief after a few years without Ammy.

Still, Okami will always be my number one game (even above SF64 xD)... And thats why I picked up Okamiden.

And then I though Waka died so I cried like a bigger baby, I was so pissed at Yami That I went ballistic on his ass, then come to find out Waka wasnt dead and then the game ended.... That was such a mood killer lol. They need to hurry and make the second part. Its killing me. I've played Okami like 6 times now (beating the game that is)

Yami, the most evily evil ever. A sphere with a goldfish.... Oh, but I love this game. The art is beautiful, and it is impossible to get bored of it, because every time you replay it you notice *oh look, I didn't see how the artist hinted that in for later in the story* This should be the most popular game in the world, but it is not because it's style is a bit diffrent and scares people off. If someone were to just pick it up, then they would understand it's beauty.

It wasn't advertised enough. I never saw a commercial for it and the only reason I bought it was because I had some money to blow. I bought it at Gamestop without knowing what it was about, and when I played it, I was blown away. One of my favorite games of all time.
