@GeckoFloor Boy you've been missing out then...Blind Faith, Disappear, Wither, Repentance, etc etc...DT has a style that does involve a lot of notes, but that doesn't mean they don't like to take a breather and write some amazingly beautiful music. Give em another shot.

lol since my days in the FL dm scene, ive always stuck with extreme metal but what dream theater was doing was epic. its a shame how every member (from images and foward) is the perfectionist of their musical role, but nobody except portnoy gets recognition for it. despite that this song helps bring back lost memories.

Everytime I go thru some type of life-changing thing....death in a family, end of relationship, loss of job, etc.,etc....I always find myself back listening to this song or any other from "Images and Words". This song helps me escape all of lifes problems and I am forever grateful for it. It is my top 3 favorites in existance !!! I can't explain it...it just seems to make life feel better.

Labrie is a good singer. Yeah, he gets a little breathy sometimes, and I would prefer he did not, but that is his style. On the studio version his vocals are much cleaner.. he may have been sick when they performed this time. I saw them once on the Images and Words tour and I was rather impressed.

seriously one of the best musically talented bands of our time. however having said that they should get rid of their frontman James LaBrie, he just doesn't have the vocal ability to meet the bands musical talent. they should enlist iron maidon's frontman. he has such a bigger vocal range.

So, Dream theater should "get rid of" james labrie? what a horrible thing to say. check out some more of his live performances and youll see he's not bad AT ALL.
