Ron's method teaches you to teach the concept to the dog. You did a good job as a student and teacher. Just be careful you are not using the treat to lure the dog through the movement. At some point you want to see the dog choosing that behavior on their own. You will know the dog gets it when you can say "top" and the dog jump sup on the nearest object ;) keep up the good work.
