Great job posting the recent history of Sosua dating back to WWII with the settlement of the German & Austrian Jews by then dictator Trujillo, and describing each barrio . . . the areas around Sosua, Cabarete, & Puerto Plata are all very nice, diverse beaches for swimming, snorkeling, diving, surfing, & kite surfing ... history in Puerto Plata . . . & fun nightlife . . . I had a fantastic vacation there this July n looking 2 doing it again next year . . . cuidate d.r.

If you go to sosua beach ask for a man named Junior. he speaks english, french, german and spanish. he will bring you the BEST food and drinks sand anything you need. we tipped him like 20 bucks a day and he was the best. i miss him.
